Holding Ground is a great start to a brand new series by Piper Rayne.
Elliott is a single dad, he lives in small town Echo Lake and loves that town fiercely. Emelia works for a developer and comes into town trying to develop some land. This makes these two not get off to great start.
I loved these two from the start, Elliot definitely doesn’t make Emelia feel welcome. He makes assumptions about who she is but soon realises that she is completely wrong. I loved seeing them get close, the little moments they shared and Emelia bonding with Baylor.
I listened to the audiobook and it was amazing. The narrators did a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life and making you feel their emotions.
I can’t wait to read more from the Mercer family.
