If you’re looking for a cozy fall read with practical magic vibes, a small town full of quirky people, and a second chance romance, The Pumpkin Spice Spell is definitely one to pick up.

I absolutely adored the small-town community in this book. They’re nosy, quirky, and completely invested in each other, but in the best way. I loved how they always had each other’s backs and how they welcomed Tate back with open arms.

I saw so much of myself in Willa, especially in the way she didn’t want to open her heart and instead buried herself in her bookstore and her passion. I also connected with Tate and his fear of coming back and wondering if he would still be accepted.

One of my favorite parts was watching the community remind both of them that they were loved and that they still had a place there. It was such a warm, feel-good part of the story.

The fact that this book is set in Texas had me ready to read it, but then you add childhood friends reconnecting years later and sparks flying? I was sold. The tension between Alice and Colt was THICK, and when it finally snapped, it was 🔥.

I adored Alice. She was living the dream so many book lovers have, turning her childhood home into a bookstore. Then Colt comes back to town carrying a bit of a chip on his shoulder from his experiences growing up in a small town.

They were honestly perfect for each other. He was so grumpy, she was so sweet, and I loved watching them truly see each other for who they were while helping each other make their dreams come true.

This book felt like a warm hug. The small town setting, the found family, and the community were everything. If a book starts with a one night stand that turns into an accidental pregnancy, I already know I’m probably going to enjoy it. Afterglow did not steer me wrong!

I loved both Leanne and Bryce. They had both been through so much, and they were honestly perfect for each other. Leanne was feisty, her ex can kick rocks, and Bryce was the ultimate walking green flag. He was there for her every step of the way and is going to make one hell of a baby daddy and partner.

I loved the found family aspect, and the side characters were just as lovable. I can’t wait to continue this series! ]]>
