Very enjoyable with a lot of anecdotes and "inside" reveals. Anyone can appreciate the fact that the REAL Gene Roddenberry was entirely human, not an alien as he would most likely have appreciated being. Roddenberry seemed to perpetually shoot himself in the foot (metaphorically speaking) by contending he was the only one who could write the story of Star Trek. It would have been good if he could have taken some advice and editing tips. That aside he was a brilliant writer with a universe-size imagination. I began watching Star Trek five days a week when it was in syndication (in the early 70's).
