The Manic Moon is an intense and emotional ride that dives even deeper into Gabe and Savannah’s world. C.J. Simone does such a great job mixing fast-paced suspense with real, heartfelt moments. Every scene feels high-stakes but still personal and emotional.

I loved seeing how Gabe and Savannah’s relationship grows in this book. Even with everything going on around them, their bond feels steady and real. Mental health struggles are written with so much honesty that you can’t help but find it relatable. It makes the book harder to put down.

The plot had me on edge the whole time. The choice to hide a trafficked child adds so much weight and moral tension to the story. It’s the kind of twist that makes you stop and think about what you’d do in their place.

Overall, The Manic Moon is gripping, emotional, and beautifully written. It’s everything I want in a mafia psychological thriller. C.J. Simone does an incredible job of blending dark psychological tension with a touch of romance, creating a story that’s gripping and full of emotion. Gabe’s struggles, especially with his mania and the guilt he carries, feel so raw and real that it’s impossible not to connect with him on some level.

The mix of mob drama and the music industry gives the book a fresh and unique setting. The mafia’s control over Gabe and Savannah’s band adds so much suspense—it feels like every choice they make could lead to disaster.

Kallie, Gabe’s detective-in-training sister, is such a standout character. Her determination to protect the people she cares about while navigating her family’s dangerous connections really adds a layer of hope and strength to the story.

The romance between Gabe and Savannah feels genuine, even in the middle of all the chaos. Their relationship is both sweet and complicated, grounding the story and giving it a much-needed sense of balance.
