it was amazing
"'For the quest is achieved, and now all is over. I am glad you are here with me. Here at the end of all things, Sam.'"

I think this may be one of my favorite books of all time, even considering its girth. Tolkien is a masterful writer and succeeds in creating a world that is at times puzzling and at others breathtaking. For one, I now have a really long appendix I'll have to read some day or other and the first part of The Book of Lost Tales .
