it was ok

I really do not like the intonation of this audio narrator; it is odd, and I can’t say what annoys me about it… but … makes a face - no. And she does the wrong voices for some characters mid scene. There is no break between sections, so it takes too long as a listener to work out we have switched pov narratives. Like not even a longer pause.

I read Assassin's Quest trilogy last year, and while it had some flaws, I loved it. I read Assassin's Quest trilogy last year, and while it had some flaws, I loved it. I had never read any Robin Hobb and I decided to collect them all, to read them all, to immerse myself in her extensive world, and to try to emulate her extraordinary world building with all of her sixteen+ titles set in the same world. [and before Brandon Sanderson… lol]

And then I borrowed this from the library … insert loud record screech noise here.

The serpents, and the incomprehensibility of what is going on with them, does not really help.

I had to leave a big gap before I started on the next book, but I did, so that says something about trust in the author, eh?

One day, on a re read, I may feel differently. But for the moment,
