喜欢。想象力丰富，每个人物都特色鲜明，个性突出。原来哈尔一直都知道索菲的诅咒，表面看是个任性花心的花孔雀，其实内心细腻，做事细心，本领高强，而且其实他真的对索菲以及其他人都很好，连索菲也在最后才突然意识到。是个低调的好男人呢。只是英文读的有点累，有的句子把握不准意思。

有聲書聽到一半開了電影來看，覺得好像是不太一樣的故事。
宮崎駿有創造出自己的世界觀，木村也相當蘇（？），不過影視為了理解方便其實也常省略太複雜的安排，但以 Moving Castle 來說那一段又有趣到不行，目前覺得接觸原著很讚～打算借繁中版三部曲來看

霍爾居然來自威爾斯！以為魔法歸魔法，現實歸現實；以為城堡開了四個門，門後的世界都有著魔法，結果其中一道門居然通往威爾斯。原來英國魔法界的共識就是與麻瓜共存，不立種族隔離政策啊。

《霍爾的移動城堡》的原著，和電影相比較，只有人設類似，但劇情主線幾乎是兩個不一樣的故事。相較於電影，我覺得原著的角色塑造較立體，且角色性格和電影不太一樣；原著事件的發生也比較有邏輯和理由，電影加入反戰主題，但實際上原著沒有，因此這一部分在電影中就有點突兀。
綜合以上，比較喜歡原著小說的劇情。
但翻譯的品質不是太好，有很多句義不清的地方，會影響前後文的理解。
