Contrary to what you often see in videos, ~88–90% of Greenland’s population are brown — Indigenous Inuit/Kalaallisut. Greenland is not a white settler society like the U.S., Canada, or Australia. The overwhelming majority of Greenlanders are socially, culturally, and physically recognized as Inuit/Kalaallisut, not Europeans.

On TV and in videos, Greenland often looks full of white Europeans. In reality, whites are a small minority, less than 10% of the population. The white people you do see are concentrated in Nuuk, the capital — Greenland’s only city — and Sisimiut, the largest town outside Nuuk, with roughly 5,600 people. Even in Sisimiut, whites are still a minority; the other 16 towns are almost entirely Indigenous.

Greenland also has numerous villages and settlements, all overwhelmingly Inuit/Kalaallisut.

In short: outside Nuuk and Sisimiut — the only city and the only town with any significant white population — Greenland is almost entirely brown, Indigenous Inuit/Kalaallisut.

Even if Trump somehow pressured Denmark to give up Greenland, Greenlanders would still get to vote on any change in sovereignty. Any transfer to U.S. control would legally require a referendum. This means the ~88–90% Indigenous population would overwhelmingly dominate the vote. The brown Indigenous Inuit/Kalaallisut would have full veto power over Trump’s deal to own Greenland.

  2. KT Chong

Do you really think 88–90% of Greenlanders — the Indigenous Inuit/Kalaallisut who actually own Greenland — would vote to join the America currently run by Trump and (especially) Stephen Miller? The same Stephen Miller who has targeted, expelled, and deported brown people, and whose Project 2025 openly shows he wants to make America white?

Do you think brown Indigenous Greenlanders would voluntarily vote themselves into a political system explicitly designed to prioritize white people, push out nonwhite communities, and undermine the rights of nonwhites — especially brown people?

Do you think they would vote to give up their lands, their homes, and their self-determination to an administration that has shown it is hostile to brown people — and would see Greenland as just another part of America to deport brown people from and make white?

The answer is obvious: NO. Absolutely not. Greenland is Indigenous. Greenlanders are brown. Any plan to shove them into the U.S. under the current administration is dead on arrival.

Stephen Miller is the architect of Project 2025 and Trump’s mass deportation and detention policies targeting brown and non-white populations. His political worldview is explicitly white ethno-nationalist and Zionist, and he has openly expressed support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

For Indigenous Inuit Greenlanders — a brown, non-European people — the prospect of U.S. sovereignty under figures like Miller would be an existential threat: a white ethno-nationalist agenda that has already shown contempt for brown people and Indigenous rights.

    [Part 2 of 3]

  3. KT Chong

Trump and Miller likely have not done serious research into Greenland’s demographics. They appear to erroneously assume Greenland is predominantly white based on what they have seen on TV and in videos. More likely, they know but do not care — they have the entitled mindset of white colonizers/settlers, and they want to seize land from the Indigenous people of Greenland.

If the U.S. were ever to acquire Greenland, they would quickly confront the reality that the vast majority of the population (~90%) is Indigenous Inuit/Kalaallisut — brown, non-European people. They would also inherit Denmark’s responsibility to subsidize Greenland and its brown population, a cost Trump and Miller would be openly hostile toward.

At that point, the Indigenous population would almost certainly be reframed as a “problem” — blamed for fiscal burdens and portrayed as obstacles to mineral extraction and resource exploitation. Within a political worldview already hostile to brown and Indigenous peoples, this creates a dangerous incentive structure: resettle the brown people who are seen as the problem and who stand in the way, deporting them to a third country. Trump and Miller have already done this — or have openly planned to do so — to other brown populations.

Recent events — such as the Gaza Genocide and U.S. actions against Venezuelans — show that the international community often remains largely silent or powerless in the face of violence against brown and marginalized populations. The Indigenous Inuit/Kalaallisut are already largely invisible in global media, making them especially vulnerable under a Trump–Miller regime, which would likely see them as obstacles to resource exploitation and as burdens to subsidize.

Why hasn’t anyone talked about this? That is the real risk of America taking control of Greenland.

    [Part 3 of 3]

  4. bruce wilder

    @KT Chong

Greenland’s population is teeny tiny. The absolute number is small and the economic throw weight of that population is even smaller — that is part of the significance of needing subsidy to even interact with the modern world.

Your thinking is revolving around trying to figure out the narrative and what you are wrestling with is the unreality of the currently prevailing narrative of the “justice” of European settler states — particularly the English-speaking ones in North America and Australia/NZ — which also confronted small populations (quickly made much, much smaller by epidemics) and “primitive” indigenous cultures.

Is history rhyming? Maybe we have all just lost our minds.

The United States is caught up in the whirlpool that forms when the economic bottom springs a leak and the fluid basis of the political economy drains away suddenly to a different level. Worrying about the skin color of Inuit or the optics of polling is like an AI hallucination giving a figure in a cartoon illustration three arms. The fundamental forces driving the breakdown of the United States as a political nation-state, economy and a geopolitical superpower are both of such huge magnitudes and so remote from the shores of Nuuk that it is bizarre to focus there. You may be right in a way that some drama will flash across the northern sky in the chaos set off by the dynamics of the forming of the whirlpool, but that’s all it can be — a spark, a crackle of static electricity formed from the friction generated by the massive catastrophe forming chaotically at the center.

Hmm. KT Chong raises some interesting and no doubt valid issues.

I doubt that the blue eyed blonde hair set in Copenhagen is very enamored of their native island charges, and some would secretly like to be rid of them. But there’s sovereignty and national self interest at work in the face of this buffoonery. Can’t just let your country be steamrolled by Dracula and Drumph. Maybe there’s a workaround though. Anything goes in this degenerate time. (Damn, now that song’s stuck in my head).

Kinda sorta related, but my younger self was proud of his Danish heritage. Not anymore. Like most of Northern Europe, the Danes have come unhinged.

Once again another set of song lyrics pop in my head: I got a feeling about the future, and it ain’t too good/ I know that. . .

  6. different clue

Are the native Greenlanders quietly preparing to respond to a US invasion-occupation effort? Who could give them the very best weapons and weapons systems for Arctic Warfare against US forces and personnel? Would Canada, Norway, Finland, Sweden be best placed for that kind of quietly massive and massively quiet training, supply, etc?
To help the Greenlanders get pre-prepared in advance?

( Separately, I have looked at the aggregated images for ” Ian Welsh” and finally the image of Mustapha Kemal is not among them).

  7. different clue

Here is a little Belle of the Ranch video talk about a Senior ( but retiring) Senator condemning the Trump Admin’s position on Greenland and especially condemning “President” Miller’s talking about it, input into it, etc.
    ” Let’s talk about a GOP Senator, Trump’s ‘amateur hour’ policies, and Greenland…. ”
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92UeBPIR9Hg

Now , granted . . . it is a little late in the day for a Senator to be jumping up now and claiming that the Senate still “is” part of the “government”. Better late than never?
We’ll see. Maybe some of us here in America can figure out how to view the Tillis opening as a cut made onto Miller’s face. Maybe some of us can figure out how to dig our thumbs and fingers into that cut and make it wider and deeper. Maybe we can somehow get enough blood to flow and run down into Miller’s eyes to where Miller can’t see to protect himself from whatever hopefully starts coming next.

  8. different clue

Here is a TikTokCringe thread called: ” That is unbelievable”.
It shows Trump lecturing about “paid agitators” and whatnot at the Minneapolis ICE shooting scene.

  9. different clue

Now Trump’s gone and done it! He’s forced Jesse Ventura to enter politics again.
” Jesse Ventura criticizes Trump, hints at political comeback after Minneapolis ICE shooting
‘Here I was leading a nice life, and now you’ve injected me back in here and are probably gonna make me the governor of Minnesota again’, Ventura said ”
    https://news.meaww.com/jesse-ventura-criticizes-trump-hints-at-political-comeback-after-minneapolis-ice-shooting

If I lived in Minnesota and if Ventura were to run in the primaries as a Democratic Gov-Candidate wannebe, I would vote for Ventura to be the DemParty Candidate for Minnesota governor . . . for the shake-up effect. Unless there were another wannabe who was dramatically better.

But I don’t live in Minnesota, so its all moot.

  10. mago

Greenland is cold and dark with interminable winters. The food is probably imported and processed with jack for fresh vegetables. Just guessing of course since I don’t live there or know anyone there either. Also guessing a bottle of vodka costs a small fortune along with any other substance including internet access, but again, what do I know? How do they get through those long cold nights and short days? I’m sure they have their ways, but I don’t want to know.
Watch out where the huskies go/don’t you eat that yellow snow. Quoting Frank Zappa now. I’m full of it today. Fitting right in with the times.

  11. NGG

Well. – apparently it is now acceptable for the federal law enforcement officers to kill our citizens. If you have watched the videos – the officer did not follow protocol – to remove himself from the path of the vehicle. Rule 101 of officer safety. This was nothing short of an arranged confrontation. “Effing B” at the end pretty much confirms the officers attitude. State sanctioned lethal force against protesting citizens is unacceptable!! And apparently, if you are white – no longer matters. This country is in trouble.

  12. Tom

What is Canada doing about the Greenland situation? I would guess that Canada has a strong opinion on the matter – being 30km away…

Electoral politics won’t resolve this predicament. It’s long past that. That’s not defeatism either, it’s being realistic. Being realistic is the first step in ameliorating the predicament. So long as people think they can just vote their way out of this, it will continue to get worse and worse. Many MAGA cut their teeth on Ventura. I have in-laws who loved Ventura and they are now full-blown fascist MAGA loony goons.

  14. Mark Level

I thank KT Chong for the 3 insightful & informative comments. I only know a bit about Greenland, some years back (about 2015 I think) Harper’s did a nice “Letter from Kalaallit Nunaat” (Greenland) in their “Letter from – – -” series, mostly focused on Climate Change’s effects there, massive spring thaws of permafrost and glaciers, making the ground more dangerous to walk across, etc. This made hunting both on land & to a lesser extent at sea more dangerous, but the locals adapted as they have millenia of experience in that environment. mago’s comment on the local environment and expensive imported food & drink is correct (something the article covered), vegetables especially. Not everyone wants to live on mainly reindeer meat and fish (ok, the latter is not a problem) it seems. Alaska is quite the same, though the government and private industry both import a lot.

I appreciate KTC’s comments about white supremacy and the belief that land, women etc. can be taken from “brown people” as well. I am 89% white and only 11% brown (9% Spanish, 1% Sardinian, 1% unknown East Asian, likely Mongol), spent over a year in Mexico and Central America when young and could pass as local 95% of the time, as Mexico is very racially diverse. (Honduras, Guatemala, and Nicaragua less so, though the latter 2 still have large indigenous communities.) KTC’s point about Trump-Miller’s lack of awareness viz demographics is of course correct. Though I have ridiculed the LG&M (Lawyers, Guns, Money) website on here often, they had a good shooting fish in a barrel piece recently pointing out that Trump likely believes Greenland is the size it looks in the Mercator projection, which presents it as about Africa’s size. In fact, they project it correctly inside the African continent, and it would be a small country of the African land-mass at best. A little online research showed Greenland beats out Australia as the world’s largest island, at 836,330 square miles, but Africa is 30.37 million square miles. Some math whiz can inform us of how much landmass that would be, clearly single digits though, on the African continent.

One factor KT Chong briefly touches is native languages and the attempts of Imperial groups to force their idiom upon the “inferiors.” I find the fact that he doesn’t dilate on this further a little hypocritical, as on a recent thread here he took a strong Hobbesian stance in favor of Unitary State power imposing the conqueror’s language on subjects, strongly in favor of it, countries shoe-horned into an “official language.” (And as fascist as Trump-Miller et al are, we still don’t have English Only in the US, though clearly they’d like to go there.) Joe Arpaio’s Arizona had de facto English Only in policing, this is pretty much always openly racist, ugly.

I teased KTC on that thread noting that he agreed with the late governor Sallie Stinson Hogg, who succeeded her husband as Texas governor when he died, and when asked why Texas Mexican children should be forced not to speak their language at public schools, ignorantly replied, “If English was good enough for Jesus Christ, it’s good enough for me!” (Not sure whether English or Spanish is closer to ancient Aramaic, but certainly Spain is on the Mediterranean and closer to Palestine than Inglaterra is. It’s a moot point anyway.)

This topic is dear to me based on personal experience. When I lived in the Bay Area near the San Lorenzo Unified School District, they had a high-school called “Arroyo”, a stream or ditch, sometimes wet sometimes dry. In racist Governor Abbot’s Texas they had a high school with the same name. (I lived in Texas for a couple of weeks when my boat worked out of Port Arthur, Texas, a hellhole.) However, Texans are trained to be deeply Mexophobic, as Miller would want, and their school was renamed “Shallowater High School.” Moronic, you can’t make this shit up.

So this begs the question, are the Kalaallit Nunaat people forced to speak Danish? And would they then be forced to speak Jesus Christ’s language of Englischen if Trump becomes the fuhrer? My guess is that they don’t speak it in the household, might be forced to speak Danish currently in school? (Or might not, I don’t know.) I remember years ago there was a Right wing Hispanic writer who would boast that only Spanish was spoken with his family in the household but his parents insisted they speak only English in public, in credit to the Conquistador class, to be “accepted.” He was proud of this behavior, which many would call a form of self-hatred.

My dad was a bullying German Martinet, and I rebelled in High School by taking Russian for 2 years. I never did much with it and forgot it within a couple of years, certainly when I became bilingual Spanish about 4 years after High School. I had an excellent teacher, Mr. Nolte, who conveyed useful lessons about culture, including quizzing us, what’s the one thing that you cannot take away from a cultural group without savage resistance? The answer was, not religion, not diet, etc. but Language. Now getting back to current events, let’s look at how the Ukrainian fascists installed in power via coup by Victoria Nuland in 2014 revived a previous racist practice of demanding that the nearly 45% of Russians inside Ukraine not speak their language publicly, as they labeled it “the language of the oppressor”, burned Russian speakers alive during the Maidan coup, took down Russian monuments to the Great Patriotic War and replaced them with monuments to the fascist collaborator Stepan Bandera and other Nazis, full-on or Neo. This despite the fact that a minority over 40% within Ukraine spoke Russian!! This of course resulted in Russia taking the entirety of Crimea (huge predominance of Russian speakers) basically without a shot right after Maidan.

My younger brother took Russian with Mr. Nolde 4 years after me, and even went on a summer trip with his class to Russia after his Senior Year. But my younger brother had very severe dyslexia and did not do well in school, had never read an entire book by the time he graduated (it was not well understood in the 1970s), and is kind of academically stupid, although good at mechanics, carpentry (which he currently practices) etc. So though somewhat alienated and aspirationally radical when young, he later became a good (brainwashed) US subject and today he agrees with Lindsay Graham and the late John McCain that it’s cool to kill Russians, if there are some (a lot) of Nazis directing Ukraine, well, let’s not get upset, a Russkie is worse than a Nazi. (The smug, stupid Beat the Press Anchor Chuck Todd, aka Chuck Toad, openly stated this at the start of Russia’s SMO.)

As to diff clue’s enthusiasm for Jesse Ventura, I left Minnesota in disgust after a 4 year Climate Change escape there, and I do not share your credulous respect. Ventura tried to do a few good things in office like legalize pot (& failed badly against the Scandinavian ultra-prudes) but he is, like Trump and Zelensky, an entertainer without substance. He’s better than Tim Walz though, he is on the outs and not running after so-called “Somali fraud” which the Biden Admin started prosecuting in 2022 has been blown out of proportion by Trump and the far-right wannabe ethnic cleansers. He is an old joke at this point, lesser evil is still right wing, just less so.

NGG is of course correct but the feds shooting down protesters is hardly new to the US. Look at what the Garfield Administration and others of the Gilded Age did to strikers, even white working-class strikers, for many decades. Don’t forget Kent State, the bombing of MOVE (and hundreds of their innocent neighbors) in Philadelphia, the local police killings of mainly poor and non-white people that inspired the BLM movement. I’m glad there is outrage over the Minneapolis homicide, that is only fair, it is overdue, but I’m not particularly hopeful it will stop, fascists are not known for their moderation or humanity. She is a “good victim” so this murder will generate attention, killing a white, citizen mother of 6 might even stir the consciences of some CHUDs. When the economy crashes, likely this year, Trump will be on his way out (if he doesn’t kill himself with piggish diet and lack of exercise first), his Presidency is already a failure, and everyone with an IQ above room temperature should know that by now.

But the rule in this century has been every President gets worse than the last, since they have the same donors/owners: Bush Jr. came in via fraud, started several failed wars, tried and failed to end Social Security, with Greenspan crashed the economy, went out the door despised and ridiculed even by the Elites. Slick fraudster Barry Obama succeeded (& tried to rehabilitate Bushy, it worked with most of the Dimmies, like 65%), made sure no Change occurred and all Hope was false, bailed out banksters and torturers, simultaneously bragged that he was a great environmentalist AND the greatest booster of oil and “clean coal” ever seen, tried to smash teachers’ unions just like Shrillary and his other ReThug buddies. He was mainly hated in his time by the incipient Trump poor whites as he ushered Trump into power. One good thing is that when he tried for “a Grand Bargain” to destroy Social Security (something his pal Georgie failed at) he also failed ‘coz the R’s didn’t want to cut a deal with a “n——r.” He built a horrid Eye of Sauron monument to himself in Chicago, tearing down a public park and peoples’ gardens. Trump 1 was shambolic and idiotic, he profiteered, learned to like some Muslims (the billionaire ones who chop off hands and heads but sit on vast lakes of oil), bungled Covid and became a laughingstock, turning the revolving door to the bigger laughingstock, lifetime segregationist and whore for Big Business, Predatory Lenders, the Prison-Industrial Complex and endless regime change wars, the brain-bleeding dotard Joe Biden, who will forever be known as Genocide Joe for his fellation of Bibi Netanyahu, who treated him like shit and wanted Trump back. Now Trump is full-on for Billionaires, Zionists and Fascism, not exactly a winning formula. Thus dies a nation Great only in its greed and delusions. And the world will say, Good riddance!

Oh, and nice to see L&S, aka Harvey Dent showing his normie, human face here today, not the nihilistic burned up one, rightly calling out DC’s Authority Dependence and unshakeable belief that Politicians will some day Save Us.

The thing is, DC (his nom de plume initials revealing) is like someone in a Flat Earth or Flying Saucer or Q’Anon Cult, you can point him in the direction of rational thought, point out his enormous Category Error Fallacies, but you might as well be talking to the wall. Not one word gets past the ideological blinders he has erected. Still, occasionally we are (accidental & temporary) allies in the field of wisdom and experience, so kudos to you on this call.

The model for resistance in an Arctic environment is probably the Finns vs. the Soviets; 1939.
This ended in Finnish defeat when the Finns ran out of ammunition. The Finns level of preparation for their defense were comprehensive and extraordinary.

Soviet casualties were so horrific that no less than Stalin decided a few more kilometers of frozen wasteland probably weren’t worth it, and Finland got to continue it’s existence.

  18. bruce wilder

“the locals adapted as they have millenia of experience in that environment”

The Inuit are still working on their first millennium on Greenland, after thoroughly displacing (exterminating?) the Dorset people who preceded them. Were those Vikings, Danes?

“Greenland beats out Australia as the world’s largest island”

Australia is significantly larger than Greenland, rests on its own tectonic plate and is conventionally classified as a continent. But, you knew that.

“The model for resistance in an Arctic environment is probably the Finns vs. the Soviets; 1939. This ended in Finnish defeat when the Finns ran out of ammunition.”

It did not end so easily or soon. The Finns advanced in support of the Nazi 900-day Siege of Leningrad in what the Finns call, the Continuation War, which the Finns started shortly after Germany invaded the Soviet Union. That second war ended in September 1944 in an armistice with the U.K. and Soviets. After, the Finns had to drive the Nazis out of Lapland.

The Finns removed the swastikas from military unit insignia shortly before joining NATO. It was the politic thing to do and they have a good story about how their swastikas predate those of the Nazis.

I don’t know why I am feeling so ornery today. I know I am sick of people cheerleading violent conflict, with no knowledge or wisdom. I don’t want to hear anything about the stupid lesbian “mother of 3” protesting for Instagram views or the ill-trained ICE thug who shot and killed her. Yeah, you’ve got a tendentious narrative based on video clips and your self-blinding priors.

I am disabling my X-twitter accounts, sick of the racialist posturing and ignorance-based righteous snark combined with fraudulent use of images and obvious propaganda. Same with Tiktock and Bluesky. Gone. I am officially declaring myself a loud and proud antisemite.

And to Democrats, who are in denial about Minnesota fraud replacing Minnesota nice: you are just noticing now what your party leaders have been for over a decade? Really? Republicans are really good at plutocratic corruption and war-mongering. The Clintons gave them a good run, but the younger Dems cannot compete in the same league, despite taking in a platoon of neocons in the Transfer Portal. And, yet, somehow the Rethugs are also outflanking you on exposing fraud and corruption, because Team Blue has less than zero integrity. WTF!?😳

  19. Carbodundum

Actually, as of a couple of years ago, Canada and Greenland share a land border.

In terms of what is being done, among other things, the G-G and the minister of foreign affairs will be decamping to Greenland in a couple of weeks to officially open a consulate there. As you might imagine, it’s unusual for the head of state to open a consular office and this is being driven less by the hitherto imperceptible clamour for consular services than it is to demonstrate support for Greenland and the notion that it should determine its own fate.

The Finns made Stalin blink. Stalin, who put whole ethnic groups on trains to elsewhere.

After Stalin spared their country, the Finns expressed their gratitude by allying with the Nazis. They took back some of their stolen territory.

Thing is, when the Nazis lost, all the Finns suffered was a border reset.

I would love more insight into this period into the thinking on the Soviet side.
Last time I researched this the only thing I could find was a Molotov quote; “It was a mistake not to take Finland”(after WWII) , significantly after the fact. This sounds like sour grapes.

As part of their preparation, the Finns mapped artillery registration points for their entire country.
Normally hitting a target with artillery takes three shots to “range in”, then you fire for effect. The Finns had their whole country “ranged in”.

  24. Mark Level

So I apologize to Stewart M for defending Bruce Wilder from charges he was fash/ fascist or fash-adjacent.

For Bruce to say the following is reprehensible and also dishonest: “I don’t know why I am feeling so ornery today. I know I am sick of people cheerleading violent conflict, with no knowledge or wisdom. I don’t want to hear anything about the stupid lesbian “mother of 3” protesting for Instagram views or the ill-trained ICE thug who shot and killed her.”

Ooh, icky, she’s lesbian, kill her? And both-siding the ICE violence as if she asked to be militia-executed? Sickening. Michael Brown chose to be cop-executed, he was that despairing, but she was dropping one of her children at school, panicked foolishly and was murdered in a case in which ICE had no jurisdiction–she was a US citizen, and white! The local cops could’ve ticketed her for improper parking, you don’t immediately execute people without trial for a parking violation.Three bullets to the head and face when she posed NO threat, simply tried to flee. To approve of that as you do aligns you with the likes of JD Vance who immediately lied that ICE were trapped in a snow-pile, etc.

Tony Wikrent put up a good piece in the next thread about how ICE is out hunting humans, openly, provoking “incidents” to deploy lethal force, and you support it. The Dimmie leaders like Jeffries say nothing as well, are equally regime-captured and sold out as you are. Now that the regime is using federalized troops to randomly execute dozens or hundreds of Americans in blue cities and states, I guess you just wish to step aside and give fealty to the killers so you’re not targeted?

You also show deep ignorance regarding what I said regarding Somali (not Dimmie party) fraud in Minnesota, which was a minor scandal which, as I said, was revealed as early as 2022 and appropriately prosecuted, both inside the state and even by the Biden admin. Due Dissidence did excellent reporting that I was citing on a young “influencer” employed by the Zionist Entity, Nick Shirley, who they recruited, sent to Israel, he was also in Greenland getting older people and kids to say they wanted the US to take them over at the start of Trump’s new term!! Shirley lit up Twitter about a week ago, working in collusion with a Right-Wing racist Minnesota lobbyist whose identity he tried to conceal, faking footage of the “fraud.” He went to an afterschool program run by Somalis that runs from 2-10 pm and is legitimate, at 11 am in the morning, asked “Why are there no kids here?” disingenuously, pretended he wanted to put “my child” in daycare though he looks about 20, and was blown off. He interviewed the racist lobbyist, who previously on Twitter did long threads claiming that “all Muslims are demons”, and the man said, and Shirley pushed, that the Somalis have stolen “$600 billion”!! Not exactly credible. . . and entirely-race/religious-based hatred and targeting.

I referred to Walz being forced out only in passing. I don’t feel bad about it, obviously, Walz is a vicious Zio-Pawn (but Shirley went after him anyway) photo’ed with his “friend” Bibi, and he forces MN public servants including teachers to invest their pensions in an Israeli Genocide corporation that brags it tests its death-“technology” on Gazan civilians. So, good riddance.

I guess you may be scared and want to gesture that you are a “Good German”, okay with State Violence now, so you don’t get targeted. Cowardly, sad. In the death camps there were always Capos who would throw weaker people under the bus. Some felt guilt later. If you survive I have to wonder if you will?

Some months ago I posted some comments about the USA taking over Canada. I would also be delighted if Canada took over not only Minnesota, but all of the USA. And it would be great if Canada or the US or both took over Greenland too. Niether Denmark or Europe deserve to have even a pinky finger in Greenland.
But what I did not make clear is that China should be allowed to use Alaska minus the Panhandle, pretty much as they see fit. This offer to China wood be to achieve world Peace. There would be a string attached though, the Chinese could not have any military forces in Alaska. To ensure this everything that moves between China and Alaska would have to go on ships crewed by US Merchent Marine crews, or flown on US aircraft.
Of course all of these efforts to divide up the world in a fair and reasonable manner will of course be mut once industrial civilization collapses. So I offer these comments only for their dark (dull?) comedic value.

When I grow up I want to be a loud and proud antisemite just like you. Can you give me some advice on how to become one? Are there any books or pamphlets you can recommend that I study in order to learn some intellectually rigorous and logically coherent antisemitism? I don’t want to embarrass the cause with any low-sloping-forhead blather. Can you recommend some past historical loud and proud antisemites who made a difference on the world stage? So I can learn how they did it and try to emulate their example?

    @dc

You have let me know previously that you are a somewhat literal reader, not attuned to irony or even sarcasm. It seems to me from your comment that you are familiar with the conventions of sarcasm, but I will let that go, on the presumption that you mistakenly thought sarcasm was appropriate based on missing the irony intended in my statement, “I am officially declaring myself a loud and proud antisemite.” I intended that statement to be read ironically. I am not, in fact, an antisemite and would be genuinely ashamed to think, speak or act as an antisemite.

I was expressing my exasperation with and resentment of online discourse that tries to make an argument or attempt at refutation out of assigning interlocutors to teams they haven’t signed up for. This is a fairly common form of political argumentation engaged in by Zionists denying or apologizing for Israel’s genocidal policies in Gaza and the West Bank. It is a goal of some Zionist lobby groups to codify definitions of “antisemitism” to encompass any criticism of Israel’s Gaza genocide and the Israeli apartheid regime and to enforce those definitions at law where they have an opening to do so. I am opposed categorically to such political tactics, as well as to the violence perpetrated by Israel and by the United States on Israel’s behalf.

Now I am going to respond facetiously. You’ve been warned that the following is satirical in style and tone.

To develop your antisemitism muscles, achieving size and tone proportional to your online stature, I recommend seeking out online content featuring Ben Shapiro or Bari Weiss. Listen to at least 1 hour a day of one or both. Ben is probably better, if his voice causes you hives or other evidence of an allergic reaction. Supplement with news reports featuring statements by Benjamin Netanyahu or members of his cabinet and reports of hospital bombings, child dismemberment and journalist assassinations in Gaza. Continue for 30 days or until you feel an overwhelming urge to get a Ukrainian tattoo on your forearm.

    @Bruce Wilder,

You are correct. I have an irony defficiency. If the irony is heavy enough I can maybe detect it but even then I can’t be sure. So I decided to test it out.

In cooking, I spice with a heavy foot. ( Mago would not be pleased). I do the same with irony. I don’t try using it very often because I know that other people are better at it than I am.
