Openness in Action: Students Develop Strategies for Startups

How can strategic concepts be applied in real business contexts? That’s exactly what participants of our Bachelor seminar "Strategic and Market-Oriented Management in Practice" are exploring this semester – directly through collaboration with four innovative startups!

The participating startups are:

  • Fälcon Tennis Rackets – ushering in a new era of wooden tennis rackets
  • Mindecho – an AI-powered app that translates the sounds of children with speech impairments into understandable language
  • Optimizes – a digital restaurant management tool that enhances efficiency in the hospitality industry
  • Wasmachen.at – a platform offering personalized event recommendations

The seminar aims to connect theoretical knowledge with real entrepreneurial challenges – fostering strategic thinking and applying it in a hands-on way.

At the kick-off event, students met “their” startups in person for the first time, presented their initial ideas for analyses, and outlined their strategic approaches. In lively discussions, these ideas were reflected upon, refined, and further developed together with the founders.

We look forward to an exciting and insightful semester and would like to thank our partners tech2b and the participating startups for this inspiring collaboration!
