When it comes to change, LIFT_C sets the pace by generating momentum designed to drive change forward and tackle the challenges we face. As a collaborative hub supporting outreach to the business community and the wider public, we support interdisciplinary research, education, and action. Let's lift change together!
"Transformation" is very much the topic of our time. As we face countless challenges that include environmental change, artificial intelligence, and demographic change, focusing on a single discipline is no longer enough. We not only want to understand these difficult situations more in-depth, we also want to determine the direction in regard to these issues and shape transformation to create a promising future. Given how complex these challenges are, we also need space to transcend disciplinary boundaries and approach these challenges in a more holistic way. In the end, managing transformative change ultimately benefits from working together with stakeholders across all sectors of society. We aim to engage in dialogue and partner with companies, public administrations, NGOs, and members of civil society. We firmly believe that together, we can attain greater, more impactful results.
What we do:
- We create space to support cross-disciplinary (interdisciplinary) and society-oriented (transdisciplinary) research (such as LIFT_C research calls, networking events)
- We conduct research into key areas of transformation (such as socio-ecological transformation, the metaverse, etc.).
- We are expanding on our expertise in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research (such as open innovation in science, fellowships, etc.)
- We use education (such as experience-based and impact-oriented learning formats that include UpdateSocial, Volunteering in the Social Sector - Learning. Committment. Responsibility - L.C.R.)
- We engage in discussions with members of the public (such as discussion forums, media commentaries)
