TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Around 1:15 p.m. Friday, October 24, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash at East River Road and North Craycroft Road.

PCSD says that a male driver operating a dump truck with a trailer was going southbound on Craycroft Road with a green traffic signal, while a female driver, identified as 35-year-old Elizabeth Ann Pray, in a sedan was going northbound on Craycroft Road.

Investigators say Pray made an improper left turn and failed to yield to oncoming traffic at East River Road.

PCSD found that the dump truck driver was unable to avoid the collision and struck the sedan on the passenger side. After the impact, the dump truck went off the roadway into a large drainage embankment. Photo below.
