The A-Rent calibration team recently completed onsite calibration services for a NETA-accredited company in St. Louis, Missouri. During the visit, our team calibrated more than 170 pieces of equipment, including relay, hipot, power supply, insulation resistance, CT, TTR, and WR tests sets. Our organized approach helped align the customer’s equipment inventory with current field assets. We also identified several units with functional issues and coordinated the return of failed equipment to our Chicago lab for further evaluation. Last week, A-Rent Test Equipment proudly sponsored and attended the IEC Chesapeake Apprenticeship & Training Golf Event in Ijamsville, MD. This project featured one of the largest collections of equipment we have calibrated to date, including relay, hipot, primary and secondary injection, IR, CT, TTR, and WR test sets. Our Avtron LC20 liquid cooled load banks undergo a thorough cleaning and functional test procedure before each rental, designed to protect critical components and ensure consistent performance. Each load bank functional test begins with a detailed visual inspection, followed by a cold test to verify baseline electrical functionality. The system is flushed and purged, then hot tested through all load steps in a controlled sequence. Each load bank is flushed again with deionized (DI) water to achieve measured purity levels then fully dried, ensuring it is ready for immediate use.
