Congratulations to Ruben Mesa, MD, president of Cancer National Service Line at Advocate Health, for being named to the American Cancer Society's Board of Directors. Serving alongside 19 other board members, Dr. Mesa will help guide the American Cancer Society's strategic direction, resource stewardship and progress toward measurable, lifechanging impact for cancer patients and their families.

We’re thrilled to announce that 26 of our Advocate Health hospitals received an “A” rating for excellence in patient safety on The Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2026 report card — our highest number of top grades ever! That ranks us among the top health systems in the country for “A” grades earned. Aurora Health Care leads Wisconsin with 11 “A” ratings — the most in the state — and both Aurora Medical Center – Grafton and Aurora Medical Center – Washington County earned “Straight A” designation, a distinction only 15% of hospitals attained this grading cycle. Atrium Health earned 10 “A” ratings, the most top grades of any health system in North Carolina, and five Advocate Health Care hospitals in Illinois earned an “A”. “This recognition from The Leapfrog Group is a testament to our team’s relentless prioritization of patient safety,” said Dr. Scott Rissmiller, senior executive vice president and chief clinical officer for Advocate Health. “Together, we are advancing safety measures, providing outstanding service, and reimagining care for the communities we serve.” 🔗 Learn more: https://bit.ly/4wmqbo7
