We are proud to announce a complete defense victory for our client GoPro Inc. in its decade-long patent litigation against plaintiff Contour IP Holdings LLC. After a successful trial that resulted in a verdict finding two of the three asserted patent claims invalid and no infringement by any of GoPro’s current products, GoPro moved for judgment as a matter of law on the sole remaining claim. Rolling out enterprise AI should go hand-in-hand with updating data maps. Traditional data mapping assumes relatively static, one-way flows: data enters a system, is processed, then stored or exits. AI disrupts that model in fundamental ways. Many AI systems are iterative—ingesting data, generating outputs, and refining them through additional inputs or feedback loops. The line between “input” and “output” also blurs as models learn from interactions, potentially incorporating user-provided information into model weights or retrieval systems.
