The 2026 National Service Training, hosted by America's Service Commissions, is kicking off this week. We're proud to come together with 800+ AmeriCorps program and state service commission leaders for this annual training! Our very own Lizzie Morris Vogt, Senior Director of National Program Administration, and Kevin Paul Curley, Director of National Program Implementation, will be leading a workshop on the A.R.T. Framework – Accountability, Rapport, and Trust. Together, they'll explore how to operationalize a unified vision for Program Staff training, member management, and partner engagement for programs both large and small. Lorraine's one year spent with Math Corps was both fulfilling and energizing. While leveraging her skills to help students understand foundational math concepts, she was also preparing for a pivot back to her engineering career.  "Having been out of the professional workplace for so many years, my time with Math Corps reinforced that I was ready to go back,” she says. “I enjoyed doing something with a completely different purpose than I had for several years.”  Check out our latest blog post for more on Lorraine's rewarding journey from engineering to tutoring – and back again!

Exciting news! We received a grant from the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation! This funding will support Reading Corps and Math Corps in Brown County, Wisconsin, helping provide evidence-based tutoring for at least 150 students in K-3 who are below grade level in reading and math. With this support, more students will receive the targeted help they need to build strong reading and math skills—and stronger futures.
