October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to recognize the courage of those impacted by breast cancer and the importance of early detection.  For BD associate Claire Gloeckner, breast cancer became deeply personal when she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of invasive ductal carcinoma. As she navigated surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and ongoing treatment, she repeatedly saw BD products being used throughout her care. From diagnosis through treatment and monitoring, those products became more than medical devices. They represented trust, reassurance and confidence during one of the most challenging periods of her life.  Claire's experience underscores that early detection can provide more treatment options, earlier intervention and greater peace of mind. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we honor all those impacted by breast cancer and thank BD associates around the world for the important role they play in helping improve patient care. #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth

BD joined The Global Surgery Foundation and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly to convene healthcare, government, academic and industry leaders around a shared goal: advancing maternal safety during childbirth.
