Organ and tissue donation isn’t just critical for transplantation. It is a powerful catalyst for scientific discovery and innovation. In this webinar hosted by the Col·legi de Biòlegs de Catalunya, Dir. of Technical Operations at BeCytes Biotechnologies, A BioIVT Company, Estephan Arredondo, will discuss how biologists transform donated tissues into high-quality resources that support advanced preclinical and translational studies, including best practices in tissue procurement, processing, and traceability. 📅 October 21, 2026 ⏰ 17:00 CET | 11:00 AM ET 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵. T'esperem: https://lnkd.in/ePixtpNf

What happens when your study requires highly specific donor samples and hundreds of millions of #PBMCs per donor? An #immunology research team recently ran into this exact challenge. They needed disease-specific donor samples capable of generating at least 400 million PBMCs per donor, along with HLA typing and viral testing. Traditional clinical collection sites simply couldn’t provide disease-specific samples at the scale needed. To overcome this hurdle, the research team partnered with BioIVT to develop a prospective donor-center collection strategy tailored to the team’s assay requirements. Together, we were able to screen existing participants and recruit new, qualified #MultipleSclerosis donors. Ultimately, the team was able to secure the right biological materials at the volume their research demanded. And, because the donors were recallable, researchers could return to the same population for follow-up, ensuring the team wouldn’t need to repeatedly qualify new donors. When the right samples are difficult to find, BioIVT works as an extension of your research team to help identify the right #donor source, collection approach, and biological materials for your study. Earlier this year, our presentation on pre-analytical considerations in #LiquidBiopsy generated significant interest and plenty of great questions. We’ve taken your interest a step further, bringing together the insights, questions, and extensive resources behind the presentation into a valuable eBook titled "A Practical Guide to Achieving Trial-Ready Liquid Biopsy”. Researchers can now take a deeper look at the variables that can influence sample quality and downstream results, including analyte stability, collection tube chemistry, biospecimen handling, workflow considerations, and quality control. Explore all seven chapters in the full 44-page guide: https://hubs.ly/Q04zTG5-0 Watch the original presentation: https://hubs.ly/Q04zTGLc0

Did you miss our poster from the DMDG-GMP-SPS Joint Meeting? It’s now available to download from our website! Joanna Barbara, PhD, General Manager for BioIVT's ADME Services, presented "In Vitro Lysosomal Catabolism of GLP-1 Peptide Therapeutics: A Human vs. Rat Species Comparison." Peptide drugs metabolized by numerous tissues and compartments require appropriate in vitro tools. Two GLP-1 agonists were profiled in human liver lysosomes and rat liver tritosomes for in vitro metabolism species comparison potential. Tritosomes are derived from animals dosed with tyloxopol, which accumulates in lysosomes, improving separation from mitochondria for enhanced purity.
