You always remember the first one. Three years ago today, Wasatch Peaks Credit Union went live on Blossom You, our new digital banking platform. Did it go perfectly smoothly? Obviously, no! But now, we're told that in those 3 years we've built more than the legacy provider we replaced did in 20. We're not planning to stop though. Blossom is now officially part of the Mastercard Crypto Partner Program, together with a great group of builders, working with Mastercard to connect digital assets with everyday commerce and card issuers. Credit unions have been locked out of the tokenized future for too long. Too small, too regulated, handcuffed by legacy tech, with lame companion apps for card controls and core on servers in their basement. The largest banks are building crypto desks and stablecoin pilots. Fintechs already shipped. Crypto cards are growing. CUs get left behind. As usual.
