Our team recently completed a critical 24-hour outage to tie into a 42" settled water system at a water treatment plant in Tennessee—successfully delivering the work within a tight window and ahead of an incoming winter storm. Through detailed planning, strong coordination, and around-the-clock execution, the line was installed, tested, and approved for backfill on schedule. This milestone reflects the dedication of our field crews, operators, and project leadership who worked together to deliver Safety, Quality, and Production for our customer. Before the Holidays I was fortunate to check in with one of our Bowen teams out West in Iowa. It was great to sit down with our civil team and review Cold Weather concrete. One topic of cold weather concrete we typically don't think of are evaporation rates from high winds. With the help of ACI 305 and ACI 306, I was able to review with the team the possible effects of pouring in high winds i.e. shrinkage cracking. As well as talk through some solutions to combat these conditions to help our team make a good call. #Justbecauseitscoldwedontstop
