We are excited to announce a new collaboration with Microsoft, a leader in AI-powered radiology and clinical workflow technologies, to help accelerate the early detection of lung cancer. Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, with medically underserved populations experiencing disproportionately higher mortality rates. This collaboration focuses on expanding early detection and equitable access to care through lung cancer-specific AI workflows on Microsoft’s suite of radiology solutions. These tools can help detect lung nodules earlier, flag potential abnormalities, and guide patients to appropriate care. By partnering across the technology and healthcare ecosystem, we are helping to bring leading capabilities to market and meaningfully improve the patient journey. Today, we come together across the United States to honor the profound legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a leader whose vision for inclusion and peace continues to inspire us all. On this day, I feel compelled to pause and truly reflect on the depth of his teachings—reminders that resonate even more powerfully during these turbulent times around the world. Dr. King challenged us to see peace not as “merely the absence of tension,” but as a presence of justice, dignity, and a true sense of belonging for every person. His words are a beacon, guiding us to recognize that every individual is worthy of respect, value, and empowerment. We each have a vital role to play, not only in our workplaces and communities, but in shaping a kinder, more just world. At Bristol Myers Squibb, we cherish the richness that different perspectives bring, and we know that purposeful collaboration is the key to understanding, progress, and meaningful outcomes. By ensuring that every voice is welcomed, we embody Dr. King’s dream and actively breathe life into his legacy. Let us honor Dr. King not just in word, but in action—by choosing empathy over judgment, seeking connection rather than division, and finding the courage to step beyond our comfort zones. Together, we can continue building a workplace and a world where inclusion is not only an aspiration, but a living, breathing reality for all. Today, and every day, may we walk in Dr. King’s footsteps and strive to create a better future. #MLKDay #MLK #MLK2026 #BMS_employee #BelongingForAll #Leadership

The Bristol Myers Squibb Foundation, an independent charitable organization, has established a new focus area to strengthen mental health diversion programs and expand access to behavioral healthcare for people with Serious Mental Illness (SMI). Their Brain Health program is supporting crisis response, court-based interventions and long-term care coordination, helping move people away from the criminal justice system and toward community-based care. For years, we've thought about drug discovery as "or" science — industry or academia, internal or external innovation, public or private funding — as if science follows a single path. In reality, progress looks more like a forest than a straight track: roots intertwined, branches overlapping, growth driven by connection. I believe the future belongs to “and” science, or what I call "blended innovation." When we cultivate a connected life sciences ecosystem, ideas take root faster, the canopy grows stronger, and more medicines reach the patients who need them. In my new blog, I share real examples of “and” science at work and why expanding this model — deeper roots, wider canopy — will help us deliver the next generation of therapies for patients. Check out the link in the comments, and let me know: how do you see the blended model evolving in 2026 and beyond? https://lnkd.in/em2iXqbh
