In logistics, the route changes. Careers do, too. Emilia originally joined Carlile in customer service with the goal of getting her Class A license through our driver program. When an injury changed her plans, it didn’t mean she had to stop growing. Instead, Emilia moved to our Anchorage dock to help grow with our MyConnect program. Having her husband also working at Carlile provided the stability her family needed to navigate that change. Now, Emilia is returning from maternity leave to her work as a freight handler. It's a major transition, but as Emilia put it, the environment at Carlile makes the difference: "This is my first week back and it's just a very inviting environment. I really like my leadership here. They're really kind and understanding." Emilia is a great example of how careers, like logistics, don’t always travel in a straight line.
