  • Whitney Roe knows that a reliable fleet starts with skilled people. As our Service Manager, Whitney goes beyond managing shop operations to build a path for the next generation of Alaska diesel technicians. He leads hands-on internships for local students to give them a real start in the trades. Whitney knows this work because he has spent his career in these shops. He understands the grit it takes to keep Alaska moving. Whitney says the program is a full-circle moment for him. "I’m working with and next to people who helped me grow as a student. Now I get to work with them, helping the next generation have opportunities." At Carlile, we show up for our team, providing the stability and tools you need to grow a career here. Work on a team where your growth matters. • In logistics, the route changes. Careers do, too. Emilia originally joined Carlile in customer service with the goal of getting her Class A license through our driver program. When an injury changed her plans, it didn’t mean she had to stop growing. Instead, Emilia moved to our Anchorage dock to help grow with our MyConnect program. Having her husband also working at Carlile provided the stability her family needed to navigate that change. Now, Emilia is returning from maternity leave to her work as a freight handler. It's a major transition, but as Emilia put it, the environment at Carlile makes the difference: "This is my first week back and it's just a very inviting environment. I really like my leadership here. They're really kind and understanding." Emilia is a great example of how careers, like logistics, don’t always travel in a straight line. That’s why we offer different paths for our team. When your life changes, we work with you to find the right fit. Happy Mother’s Day to Emilia and all the other moms keeping Alaska moving. #MyConnect #AlaskaJobs #CareerGrowth #FreightHandler #MothersDay

  • Assistant Warehouse Manager Ramie symbolizes logistics and warehousing at its finest, helping our Kapolei, Hawai’i operations to run safely and efficiently, so Island businesses get the things they need to serve their customers. On this National Supply Chain Day we’re thanking logistics heroes like Ramie who keep freight moving. Ramie Says: "I’ve been in warehousing and logistics for almost 40 years and I’m proud of what we do for our island community, moving cargo and supporting local businesses. As I near retirement, I’m grateful to pass on what I’ve learned to the next generation!" Ramie, thank you for 10 years of getting it right for our customers and the community. #Carlile #NaniqPoweredByCarlile #NationalSupplyChainDay #Kapolei #LogisticsLeadership

  • In Alaska’s most remote and visited destinations, sustainability depends on logistics, coordination, and strong local partnerships. At Denali National Park, even waste removal requires thoughtful planning and reliable execution. Since 2021, Carlile has worked with the Denali Borough through the Zero Landfill Initiative to help move recyclable materials out of the park. Look for our trailers staged at the Denali Princess Lodge and transfer stations in Healy and Cantwell.
