New Executive Order on federal contracting just dropped and honestly… it’s about time! Less “how many bodies can you staff?” More “what did you actually deliver?” If agencies follow through, this could cut through a lot of FAR noise, put pressure on bloated LOE models, and open the door for small businesses that actually perform. Catalum Strategies is officially live in SAM.gov! We’re a woman-owned small business, with U.S. Small Business Administration WOSB certification currently in process. Up to now, our work has been B2B, supporting clients across operations, growth, and proposals. We’re now expanding into the federal space and excited to begin pursuing opportunities directly. On the commercial side, I’m not taking on additional work personally, but I am selectively expanding Catalum’s bench. Here’s to the women building, leading, and making an impact.
This Women’s History Month feels a little different for me because it’s the first year I’m actually building something of my own. It’s exciting, uncomfortable, and very real in a way you don’t fully understand until you’re in it. At the same time, I’m raising a daughter who’s watching all of it, which changes things. It’s one thing to tell her to be confident and take chances, and another to actually live that out on the days when it would be easier to play it safe. I’ve been lucky to learn from some incredibly strong, no-BS women over the years, and I think about that a lot now. The way they showed up, the standard they set, and how much that shaped me. Now it’s my turn. Here's to all the women betting on themselves, building something real, and holding it down. 👠
