Rooted in sustainability 🌎🌱 This Earth Day, we’re proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Camp Cooper at the Cooper Center for Environmental Learning. In partnership with TUSD, the University of Arizona, and Swaim Architects, CHASSE constructed six new cabins that can serve up to 72 students at a time, marking the first major renovation at Camp Cooper since 1962. Constructed using hemp block, a carbon-negative and sustainable material, these cabins represent one of the largest building efforts of their kind in the U.S. The site also includes sustainable composting restroom and shower facilities, rainwater harvesting, greywater systems, solar features and outdoor learning areas. Each year, Camp Cooper serves over 3,000 students through field trips, day and overnight camps, and outdoor learning experiences that help kids connect with nature and build a lasting appreciation for the desert. 18 miles. One mission. 🧡 Four of our CHASSE team members took on the trails of Sedona, from Jordan Trailhead to Long Canyon Trailhead, to support something bigger than themselves. Together, we raised $12,510 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, helping fund critical research and advancements toward a cure. This cause is especially close to home for us, as two members of the CHASSE family have children living with CF. We hike for them and for everyone fighting this disease. This effort wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our subcontractor partners. We’re beyond grateful for your generosity and commitment to making a difference! We’re honored to break ground on the John S. McCain III Library & Museum at Arizona State University, a landmark project that will become a living space for leadership, service, and civic dialogue. Located along Tempe Town Lake, the new facility will be far more than a library or museum. This immersive civic destination will invite visitors to experience Senator McCain’s legacy through interactive exhibits, immersive galleries, flight simulators, holographic storytelling, and even a suspended A-4 Skyhawk. We’re honored to help build a destination that will educate, inspire, and bring people together, carrying forward a legacy of service while shaping future generations of leaders. Fast timeline, BIG IMPACT! In just six months, the new Agua Fria High School cafeteria came to life, expanding capacity and creating a functional, welcoming space for students. The project includes a new dining area, kitchen, and community pantry, all designed to support the needs of a growing campus. Features like polished concrete floors, clerestory windows that bring in natural light, new food service equipment, and a custom acoustical owl ceiling element elevate both form and function. Built for more than just lunch, this space supports professional development, student clubs, and community events year-round. CHASSE is thankful to Agua Fria Union High School District for allowing us to be part of such an amazing project. From the racetrack to the job site, speed only works when it’s engineered with precision and safety. 🏁 More than 500 students experienced real-world STEM in action, and the CHASSE Crew had a great time connecting with them about careers in construction. Our team shared how there are many different pathways into the industry, including working in the field, project management, safety, engineering, and more, helping students see the wide range of opportunities available in the future. Better late than never, at our Holiday Party for 2024, I was honored to step into the role of President of CHASSE Building Team.   Eighteen years ago, Barry Chasse set out to build something different. What started as a bold vision has grown into a respected brand with a strong market presence, an incredible collection of teammates, and a culture that truly sets us apart. For the past eleven years, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside this company, both as a leader and as a person.   Recently, we reached an exciting milestone by becoming 100% teammate-owned, reinforcing who we are and where we’re headed.   I am grateful for the trust of our teammate-owners and for Barry’s continued partnership as we build what’s next. As our CEO, Barry is not going anywhere.  Together we are focused on the future. As National CTE Month comes to a close, we’re proud to spotlight a great opportunity our CHASSE teammates were part of! Recently, teammates served as judges at the SkillsUSA regional competition, helping students practice hands-on trade skills by framing a wall and building a truss from construction plans. Supporting workforce development and helping prepare the next generation of skilled trade professionals is something we’re passionate about. We’re grateful to be part of events that help students build confidence, gain real-world experience, and showcase their talent.
