Ci is excited to celebrate the completion of a new coffee research and development sensory laboratory for Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. ☕ Designed to support the company’s continued growth, the renovated 2,000 SF space replaced an outdated facility with a more advanced and highly interactive environment for coffee evaluation and product development. Located directly off the main lobby, the lab was carefully designed to balance functionality with a high-end experience while complementing the surrounding workplace aesthetic. The space includes a large prep and brewing area, storage, a blind tasting booth environment with specialty lighting to minimize color variation between brews, and a collaborative panel tasting room that doubles as an executive meeting space. From the roasting station and prep zone to the tasting booths and group analysis spaces, every detail was designed to create more efficient and consistent tastings while enhancing engagement across the team. Ci Science & Technology Principal Steven Ritchie had a blast connecting with folks at the Battle of the Bio\Tech Bands in San Diego last week 🎸 Since its founding, this signature philanthropic music battle between professionals from the biotech, life science and technology industries has raised more than $1.5 million for charities focused on patient advocacy, healthcare and community engagement. While in California for the event, Steven also documented the adventures of Ci Principal and Science & Technology Practice Leader Raffe Khazadian, AIA’s hat after it was lost during his travels. The Thermo Fisher Scientific Bioprocess Design Center has been completed in Plainville, Massachusetts! Designed to bring customers, scientists, and engineers together to accelerate innovation, the 4,000-square-foot center was delivered in a design-build partnership with DC Beane and Associates Construction Company. Ci provided architecture and lab planning services to bring this highly technical space to life. Congratulations to the project team on this significant milestone!
