The 2028 NFL Draft is coming to downtown Minneapolis.    For three days, we will become the center of the football world, welcoming hundreds of thousands of fans, generating significant economic impact for local businesses, hospitality and tourism. Anchored at U.S. Bank Stadium, hundreds of thousands of fans are expected to attend the event, bringing an estimated $100 million to $200 million in economic impact to the region, according to MNSE.   “Minnesota knows how to show up for big moments, and we've seen it firsthand,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “This is a market that delivers at the highest level."

You may notice city assessors visiting properties in your neighborhood. It’s important you know how to identify a city assessor and what you can expect from our visit. Your safety is our top priority – if you’re not sure whether someone is a city assessor, please call 311.  City assessors will:  👷 Wear a bright yellow safety vest  🪪 Have a City of Minneapolis photo ID badge  📏 Carry a clipboard & measuring tools  Assessors may walk around and take photos of the exterior of your home. If you are not home, you may get a notice that we were here. You can also schedule an optional appointment for an interior inspection. We will never enter your home without permission.  City assessors visit properties every 5 years to help keep property values fair and accurate. Mayor Frey and Office of Community Safety Commissioner Barnette visited the Minneapolis Emergency Communications Center today to presented staff with a mayoral proclamation to celebrate Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and thank them for their service to the Minneapolis community.
