The Plano City Council approved plans Monday to construct two monuments honoring the life and legacy of Ross Perot and his lasting impact on Plano’s business community and economic growth. See more below from Plano, Texas Economic Development. https://lnkd.in/g-unszk7
Plano is honoring one of its most influential leaders with a permanent tribute. Ross Perot Sr.'s impact on Plano's business community and economic growth, including his instrumental role in the early development of the Legacy area, will now be recognized with monuments on the Legacy Pedestrian Bridge. The plans were approved by the Plano City Council on Monday night and will include two obelisk-style monuments on the north planter walls at either end of the Legacy Drive bridge over the Dallas North Tollway. Each monument will feature bronze plaques and eagle sculptures symbolizing his life and values. "Ross Perot helped shape Plano into a city known for economic leadership and opportunity," said Mayor John Muns. "His vision, leadership, and belief in this community transformed a once rural area into a globally recognized center for business and innovation." This community-initiated project is expected to be completed in late spring 2026. #MadeProud
