Planning ahead is how water reliability gets built. Initial funding for Roseville’s 15 mile raw water pipeline has now moved through the U.S. House as part of the 2026 appropriations package, with support led by Kevin Kiley. The City will receive $5.3 million to complete design and environmental work for the pipeline connecting an upper American River intake to the Barton Road Water Treatment Plant. This pipeline reduces reliance on a single aging intake and strengthens reliability during droughts and emergencies for homes, hospitals, and the local economy. “At the end of the day, this project is about families being able to turn on the tap and trust their water is there when they need it,” Roseville Mayor Krista Bernasconi said. “It strengthens reliability during droughts and emergencies, while easing stress on shared water supplies and helping protect the Lower American River, a crown jewel of our region. We appreciate Congressman Kiley’s support, along with Senators Padilla and Schiff’s, in helping secure a dependable water future for Roseville.” https://lnkd.in/gTEPn_Tw
