Over the last five years, we’ve invested in learning from and sustaining our relationships with The BUILD Health Challenge alumni. What isn’t surprising, but has been proven beyond a doubt, is that local collaborative partners continue to be incredible leaders - innovating, mentoring, making change, advancing health equity. They teach others how to collaborate and think big, move into leadership positions, organize, even run for office. Most of all, they keep centering community. So last year, at our tenth anniversary convening surrounded by current awardees and those very same alumni, we launched the BUILD National Network, an opportunity for us to continue investing in their leadership paths, to lift up their voices nationally, and build infrastructure around those cross-community relationships that drive movements.
