Delta Marine has unveiled renderings and details of the 38.1-metre Longtail yacht concept in collaboration with Italian designer Roberto Curtò. Defined by its sculptural design language, the yacht is conceived for owners who view yachting as both adventure and art. “The partnership brings together two design cultures: Delta’s heritage of building world-class yachts in the Pacific Northwest and Curtò’s avant-garde approach to life on the water.” — Delta Marine Read all about Longtail in SuperYacht Times and follow along as her journey continues at Delta Marine. https://lnkd.in/d2DX3Zk6 🏷️ #DeltaMarine #RobertoCurto #CustomYachtDesign #YachtBuilder #YachtDesign

Delta Marine: Five decades of American yacht building shaped by purpose Founded in 1967, Delta Marine is a family-owned shipyard located on the banks of Seattle’s Duwamish River. With more than five decades of naval architecture, engineering expertise and hands-on craftsmanship behind it, the shipyard has evolved into America's leading builder of fully custom yachts. From its Pacific Northwest base, Delta has built a reputation not through volume or visibility, but through consistency, delivering yachts engineered for serious cruising, long-term ownership and multi-generational service. Today, that philosophy remains firmly intact as the shipyard enters a new chapter of openness and global collaboration. Founded in 1967 on the banks of Seattle’s Duwamish River, Delta Marine has spent nearly six decades building custom yachts shaped by engineering discipline, hands-on craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the sea. What began with commercial and fishing vessels designed for the demanding waters of the Pacific Northwest established a philosophy that still guides every build today: yachts engineered for reliability, longevity, and true ocean travel. Each project is developed through close collaboration with owners and design partners, resulting in vessels defined not by trends, but by purpose. From advanced composite construction to fully integrated in-house design, engineering, and fabrication, Delta’s approach reflects a commitment to precision and enduring performance. Current projects including Project Discovery, ZEMBRA, and the Longtail concept demonstrate how that heritage continues to evolve. Nearly sixty years on, Delta remains family-owned, guided by integrity, partnership, and trust. In 1967, Seattle brothers Ivor and Jack Jones—race boat champions with deep respect for the sea—set out to build the most capable commercial fishing vessels for the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Designed to endure. Crafted to perform. Those early hulls laid the foundation for everything Delta stands for today. #DeltaMarine #CommercialFishing #FishingBoat #YachtBuilding #YachtDesign #LifeontheWater

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Ivor Jones, co-founder of Delta Marine. Driven by an early passion for boat racing, Ivor was defined by his relentless energy and unwavering commitment. He led by example, always hands-on and working alongside his crew. His drive was contagious, inspiring those around him to push harder and aim higher. Ivor carried that ethic into the founding of Delta Marine in 1967 with his brother Jack. Together, they built one of the most prestigious American yachtbuilding companies. From the start, Ivor had a bold vision for the yardʼs future. He invested in the infrastructure, assembled a talented team, and created the environment for world-class boatbuilding to take root. In its early years, Delta delivered more than 600 commercial vessels, including the iconic Delta 58, a benchmark in the Alaskan fishing fleet. Today, Delta operates on 25 acres along the Duwamish River in Seattle, Washington, with over 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space—a reflection of Ivorʼs enduring vision and commitment to the company. Throughout his life, Ivor remained committed to quality, integrity, and family. He built more than boats. He built a legacy and a culture that continues to guide the company. Delta remains family-owned and operated, grounded in the values Ivor championed from the beginning. “Ivor led with heart, grit, and a deep sense of responsibility to his craft, his team, and his family. The culture he created at Delta is rooted in integrity, care, and relentless dedication. We are committed to honoring that legacy in everything we do.” — Michelle Jones, Vice President of Delta Marine Ivor will be remembered with great respect, deep gratitude, and lasting admiration.
