Honored to be recognized as Supervisor of the Year through the Cristo Rey internship program. This one means a lot because I know firsthand how much mentors can change the trajectory of someone’s life and career. I’ve been lucky to have people take chances on me, challenge me, give honest feedback, and somehow continue believing in me even when I was figuring things out in real time. That’s a big part of why working with Cristo Rey students has been so rewarding. The future workforce is going to be shaped by AI, constant innovation, and rapidly changing industries, but human skills still matter. Curiosity, communication, adaptability, work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly are going to separate people more than ever. Also, if you want to stay optimistic about the future, spend time around ambitious students. Their energy alone will make you question why you complain about your inbox so much. Grateful to Cristo Rey Network and Deluxe for the opportunity to pay it forward and mentor incredibly talented students.
