About us
Today, Elica stands as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), a designation given by the Federal government to community-based clinics that follow regulations related to the scope and quality of the services that are available to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. We are so proud of our team members for representing Elica Health Centers at the 2026 Day at the Capitol. Engaging with our state leaders is vital to ensuring that we can continue providing high-quality, accessible care to our community. A special thank you to California Primary Care Association and Central Valley Health Network for leading the way, and to the legislative offices that met with us to discuss the future of community health. When we advocate together, we strengthen the safety net for all Californians. #ElicaHealth #CommunityHealth #Advocacy #ValueCHCs #HealthcareForAll
Yesterday, Kseniya (Kate) Levco (Golovchenko) and I had the privilege of representing Elica Health Centers in joining community health leaders from across the state for the 2026 Day at the Capitol.🏛 It was an inspiring day fueled by a shared mission: ensuring our communities have the resources and representation they deserve. A huge thank you to the California Primary Care Association (CPCA) for organizing such a powerful event, and to the Central Valley Health Network (CVHN) for coordinating our legislative visits. Your leadership makes this level of advocacy possible! ✅️Why We Show Up Advocacy is at the heart of what we do. It’s about more than just policy; it’s about giving a voice to our patients, preserving access to care and ensuring that FQHCs and CHCs remain the backbone of California’s healthcare safety net. We were proud to stand alongside so many dedicated colleagues from health centers across the region - together, our collective voice is much stronger. ✅️A Seat at the Table We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the legislative offices that hosted us and took the time to listen to the challenges and triumphs of our community: 💫Senator Angelique Ashby 💫Senator Roger Niello 💫Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry 💫Assembly Member Josh Hoover 💫Assembly Member Maggy Krell 💫Assembly Member Stephanie Nguyen Thank you for your engagement and for your commitment to understanding the vital role community health centers play in a thriving California. National Public Health Week, April 6 -12 - is a great reminder of the important role public health plays in our communities. Public health goes far beyond clinical care. It includes addressing the everyday factors that impact a person’s health and well-being: disease prevention, patient navigation, support, education, and helping to overcome systemic barriers. At Elica Health Centers FQHC clinics, this work is reflected every day - through supporting patients not only with care, but also with access to resources, understanding their options, and overcoming barriers to care, including through CalAIM programs, as well as Mobile Medicine and Veterinary Outreach that support vulnerable populations and their animals. This #NPHW, we recognize and appreciate the people who make this work possible - those who show up every day to help build healthier communities 💜 #ElicaHealthCenters #PublicHealth #NPHW #NPHW2026 #California #CommunityHealth #CalAIM #StreetMedicine #MobileMedicine #Sacramento #SacramentoCounty #YoloCounty #PlacerCounty #FQHC

Last week, we participated in the Turning Point Community Programs Community Feedback Event — an inspiring space for meaningful dialogue, connection, and shared learning. We are especially proud of our partnership with Turning Point CORE Programs. We were invited to participate by Jill Adema, MA, LMFT, Program Director at Turning Point Community Programs. Their team also regularly hosts tabling sessions at the Elica Resource Center several times a month, where Elena Evenich and Andrew Smith engage directly with community members, answer questions, and share information about available resources and support services 💜 This is more than outreach — it is real, human-centered support that helps individuals better understand their mental health, access essential resources, and feel supported every step of the way. Initiatives like this build trust, raise awareness, and bring us closer to making care truly accessible for all 🌎 #CommunitySupport #MentalHealthMatters #MentalHealth #PublicHealth #ResourceCenter #MentalHealthAwareness #NonprofitWork #StrongerTogether #CommunityHealth #elicahealthcenters #FQHC #CommunityCare #healthcenter #HealthWithHeart #sacramento #sacramentocounty #yolocounty #placercounty #westsacramento

🌍 Access to health care should not depend on income, insurance status, or ability to navigate complex systems alone. 🏥 Elica Health Centers work to reduce barriers to care by offering services regardless of insurance or ability to pay and by integrating health navigation and resource support into patient care. By meeting patients where they are, Elica Health Centers helps individuals and families stay connected to essential services and supports healthier outcomes across the community 💜 #CommunityHealth #elicahealthcenters #FQHC #CommunityCare #careforeveryone #healthcenter #CommunitySupport #HealthWithHeart #sacramento #sacramentocounty #yolocounty #placercounty #westsacramento

Elica Health Centers, represented by the team from Elica Resource Center, were thrilled to participate in the 50th anniversary celebration of Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, an organization that has been supporting and feeding the Sacramento County community for five decades. Founded in 1976 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Oak Park, SFBFS has grown into the region’s largest network for helping people experiencing food insecurity, expanding its reach and strengthening its role in the community. It was inspiring to see how their operations are organized, including the storage and sorting of goods in the warehouse, as well as the area where items are loaded and prepared for distribution. This experience highlights the importance of efficient team operations. We are proud to be partners with Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services - working together to support the community and help those in need 💜 #ElicaHealthCenters #ElicaResourceCenter #FQHC #CommunityImpact #Partnership #Sacramento #SacramentoCounty #NonprofitCollaboration #SacramentoFoodBank #SacFoodBank

In 2020, Bayside Church made a generous contribution to Elica's Health on Wheels program. With this donation, made possible by Bayside's 2018 Motion Campaign, Elica was able to acquire a brand new mobile clinic. During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mobile Clinic became an essential resource, helping to provide testing and later vaccinations directly in our community. Since then, our Mobile Clinic has continued to make a meaningful impact, providing care not only for Elica Health Centers patients but also to vulnerable and underserved members of our community. It plays an important role in expanding access to healthcare and supports initiatives like the School-Based Program and Shelter site services. We are proud that this partnership continues to bring Mobile Medicine directly to those who need it most. 📍 The mobile clinic schedule is available on our website: https://lnkd.in/gRvd3fxW #CommunityHealth #Partnership #StreetMedicine #MobileHealth #HealthcareAccess #FQHC #HealingWithHeart #Elica #ElicaHealthCenters #Sacramento #CHCs #CHC #MobileMedicine #Yolo
