  • Warehouse automation doesn’t fail because the technology lacks potential. It fails when the operating model isn’t ready to support it. When hardware decisions are made in a silo, warehouses end up with multi-million dollar robots collecting dust on the floor, or promising GTP systems that don't deliver any real ROI. The automation approach that works starts with aligning strategy, systems, processes and deployment readiness 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 capital is committed. That’s what we talk about in our latest blog with our partner, OSARO: 🔷 Why automation feels riskier than ever 🔷 What actually causes automation failure 🔷 How to reduce your risk when implementing automation 🔷 How the right partnerships increase success rates (and why involving an integrator early in the project is so important). If you want a practical view on how to reduce automation risk, improve system fit and build a more credible path to ROI, this one’s for you. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gsEiSTwY

For Dynamics GP users, the move to Dynamics 365 is not really a product comparison. It is a fit decision. That is the distinction enVista brings into focus. Business Central is usually the better fit for small to mid-sized organizations that want a faster implementation, lower overall complexity, and strong core ERP capabilities. Finance & Supply Chain Management makes more sense when the business needs deeper financial controls, more advanced manufacturing or supply chain functionality, and more room to scale across larger or more complex operations. The useful takeaway is to choose based on where the business is going, not just where it is today. Growth plans, operational complexity, supply chain needs, and internal capacity all matter more than company size alone when deciding which Dynamics 365 path makes sense.

  • Your warehouse pickers aren't slow; Your process is. In high-velocity distribution environments, we see the same issues over and over: 🔶 Associates spending more time searching for locations than actually picking 🔶 New hires taking weeks to reach productivity 🔶 Mis-picks that don't get caught until an order is already out the door 🔶 RF scanning that slows confirmation and adds cognitive load at every touch The solution to these challenges is simple: Picking technology that helps your pickers move at the speed of demand. When your picking technology tells the associate exactly where to go and how many items to pick with a simple touch to confirm, the result is immediate: 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬, 𝐟𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐬 and training that takes 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬. This is what light-directed picking solves. And it's why we built it into the enMotion stack with enLightened Pick-to-Light. More on that next week. For now, tell us in the comments ⬇️ What's the biggest source of picking errors in your warehouse right now?

  • With fuel costs up 30-40%, it’s time to rethink your modes and reevaluate acceptable transit times and shipping frequency. Here are some of our best tips for transportation cost savings: 🔶 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐥 on the right lanes can reduce transportation costs by 5-10%, with minimal transit impact. 🔶 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐓𝐋 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 into truckload and multi-stop moves can lower overall transportation spend by 5-20% by reducing miles, touches and per shipment fuel charges. 🔶 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 can net up to 20% cost savings on specific lanes. This method increases trailer utilization for truckloads and can ultimately reduce LTL/Parcel shipments. Our transportation consultants help shippers make decisions like these every day.
