Welcome to the Bob Allen Arboretum! During his nearly 40-year career as an arborist, Bob brought to life his creative and innovative concept of a botanical garden featuring trees that can thrive underneath our power lines in NH, MA, and CT to help our neighbors plant the right tree in the right place. “It gives our customers, landscape architects, students, tree wardens, and government officials, the opportunity to see what a specific tree looks like in relation to the wires during all four seasons,” Bob said. In honor of his legacy, we recently renamed our arboretum in Hooksett after Bob. Hear more from our Manager of Vegetation Management Ian Farley.

A Connecticut native and longtime operations leader, Don brings deep field experience, a strong focus on safety and reliability, and a clear understanding of what our customers and communities expect and deserve from us every day. Please join us in welcoming Don as our next President of Connecticut Electric Operations, and congratulating Steve Sullivan as he retires after an incredible 40 years of leadership and service. “Don has been an integral part of our team for decades, and as a Connecticut native, he has a true appreciation and love for the state as well as a profound understanding of our customers’ needs,” said our Chairman, President & CEO Joe Nolan. “With his unwavering focus on safety, strong experience in storm response, and natural ability to empower our workforce, I have full confidence that he will do an outstanding job leading our Connecticut operations in the years ahead. As we congratulate Don on his new role, I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to Steve for his leadership and immense contributions to our company, and I wish him the very best in his retirement.”
