🌙 Hari Raya Celebration and Employee Farewell at EverZinc Johor Plant (Malaysia). We recently held a special event that combined two meaningful occasions:  the Hari Raya celebration and the farewell retirement of two employees, Sasitharan and Abdul Muis. This gathering was not only festive but also deeply emotional, as it brought together joy, gratitude, and appreciation. The Hari Raya celebration was marked by a simple yet warm setting, and the aroma of delicious food. Tables were lined with ketupat, rendang, satay, and a variety of kuih-muih, reminding everyone of the warmth of home. Employees exchanged greetings of “Selamat Hari Raya” and shared laughter while enjoying the festive atmosphere. It was a moment of cultural pride and unity. Alongside the celebration, we honored two dedicated employees, Sasitharan and Abdul Muis who was leaving end April. Sasitharan had been with us for 19 years and 6 months, while Abdul Muis had served for an impressive 30 years and 11 months. Colleagues shared heartfelt speeches, recalling the contributions and positive impact this individual had made over the years. A small gift as token of appreciation was presented on behalf of company, symbolizing our gratitude and best wishes for their future journey. The  farewell was touching, reminding us of the strong bonds formed within our workplace. This combined event highlighted the spirit of togetherness. Celebrating Hari Raya while bidding farewell created a unique memory that strengthened our sense of community. It showed that our plant is not just a place of work, but also a family that values tradition, respect, and appreciation. In conclusion, the Hari Raya celebration and employee farewell were more than just events; they were reminders of unity and gratitude. As we continue our work, we carry forward the joy of the festival and the inspiration of our colleagues’ contributions. 🙏

The discussions highlighted a strong shift from research toward manufacturing readiness and deployment, with concrete progress across pilot lines, scale‑up strategies, and execution planning. Several themes consistently stood out: 👉 Scaling is no longer theoretical—industry efforts are actively translating zinc technologies into manufacturable solutions. 👉 Collaboration is essential—partnerships across companies, national labs, and research organizations are critical to reducing risk and accelerating progress. 👉 Multiple zinc chemistries are advancing in parallel, each aligned to specific applications rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. 👉 Real‑world use cases—from data centers and critical infrastructure to defense and long‑duration energy storage—are guiding technical priorities. 👉 Execution risk now matters more than chemistry risk Customers, EPCs, insurers, and financiers are less concerned with electrochemical novelty and far more focused on delivery, serviceability, warranties, and long‑term operational performance. Technologies that reduce execution risk gain real commercial advantage. 👉 Zinc’s differentiation is economic, not just technical Zinc competes where non‑flammability, long duration (4–12h), and domestic content eligibility intersect—creating value beyond simple $/kWh comparisons. Competing head‑to‑head with spot Li‑ion pricing misses the point of zinc’s value proposition. 👉 Structural market forces are creating space for zinc Tariffs, FEOC rules, and safety‑driven procurement constraints are reshaping storage decisions. These are not temporary signals—they are structural drivers that favor safe, domestic, and scalable alternatives. 👉 Bankability is the critical unlock Independent engineering validation, credible long‑term service agreements, and repeatable delivery capacity are what enable project finance. Financiers and EPCs remain the tallest walls to adoption—and overcoming them is key to scaling zinc technologies. More broadly, R‑Zinc 2026 showed a zinc ecosystem that is aligning around real deployment: manufacturing readiness, defined use cases (data centers, critical infrastructure, microgrids, long‑duration storage), and collaborative risk reduction across the value chain. ☀️ We're harvesting the sun at our EverZinc Zolder plant! Since March 6, 2026, our brand-new solar installation has been up and running — and the numbers are already speaking for themselves. With an installed capacity of 245 kWp, we have generated 43.86 MWh of clean energy to date — every single kilowatt-hour consumed on-site by our own operations. This is a meaningful step in our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and making our Zinc products within EverZinc more sustainable — one sunny day at a time. More milestones ahead. ⭐ Employee Spotlight: Jose Luis Loza Some careers are measured in years. Luis's is measured in decades — and we couldn't be more proud to celebrate him. Luis joined our Houston Powder Plant in 1984. To put that in perspective, here's what else happened that year: 🍎 Apple launched the Macintosh 🎵 Prince released Purple Rain 👶 Zuckerberg, JD Vance & LeBron James were born Luis began as a furnace operator. When the company acquired the Navigation building to expand metal operations, he was a key member of the team that physically transferred the electric furnace and ball mills into the new facility. That kind of loyalty and hands-on commitment doesn't go unnoticed. He was soon promoted to maintenance — a role where he has been nothing short of essential. Luis has kept our aging mobile equipment inventory running, driven our dependability rate into the high 90s, and consistently ensured production KPIs and on-time delivery are met. He is a mentor and a guiding light to many on our team. Outside of work, Luis has been married to his wife Maria since that same year — 1984. He's a proud father of two sons and two daughters, a motorcycle enthusiast, and stays connected to his roots in Guadalajara, Mexico, where he visits family regularly. Luckily for all of us — he has no plans of retiring anytime soon. 🙌 Luis, thank you for four decades of dedication, expertise, and heart. 🌿 Spring Cleaning at EverZinc Larvik Norwegian winters are unforgiving — and when the snow finally melts, the spring sun doesn't lie. Every corner of our factory in Larvik gets exposed, and this year was no different. So we did what we do every year: all hands on deck. We kicked things off with a shared pizza lunch, divided up the tasks, and then got to work — inside and out, no exceptions. Old debris cleared, forgotten corners scrubbed, and the whole site freshened up ahead of the May holidays and summer ahead. It's a small tradition, but it means something. When everyone rolls up their sleeves together — from the shop floor to the office — it's a reminder of the kind of team we are.
