  • This is so true, Brooke Hunt! Thanks for continuously giving your best to both your clients and candidates.

Not every search ends with a placement, but some still end exactly how they should. I recently wrapped a Controller search for a PE-backed client where the final decision came down to two highly qualified candidates. One was a strong referral from the audit firm and ultimately became the top choice due to their close network connection. My candidate was right there. So close they would have received the offer if things had gone differently. When the search closed, the CFO took a moment to thank me for my time and shared that the communication and caliber of candidates were exactly what they were looking for, and that he looks forward to working together again. That kind of feedback carries more weight than a filled role. In recruiting, the win isn’t always the placement. It’s the trust you build with senior leadership, the consistency of your process, and the relationships that lead to the next search, the next referral, and the next opportunity. Those are the wins that compound.
