I get emails from customers every day sharing stories about the GM vehicles they love. There’s something incredibly special about their Cadillac memories. Now, from F1 to the PGA Tour, a new generation is witnessing the performance, technology, and precision of this iconic American brand. The Cadillac Formula 1® Team delivered a strong showing at the Miami Grand Prix, continuing to make progress, as we have in each race this season. For the third consecutive grand prix, both Cadillac entries finished, yielding helpful insights. On to Montreal! The 2026 Cadillac Championship marked Cadillac’s return to the historic Blue Monster at Doral and the start of an exciting new chapter in professional golf. Congratulations to Cameron Young on winning the inaugural trophy. We know customers take pride in driving a Cadillac. We hope they feel the same pride when they see Cadillac at the pinnacle of sport.

Last week I had the privilege of spending the day with our Romulus Propulsion team as we celebrated GM’s latest investment in this facility and in our U.S. manufacturing footprint. We’re building on our previous $300M commitment to Romulus with an additional $300 million investment to support more 10-speed transmission capacity for our most popular products, including our full-size trucks and SUVs — a direct reflection of the outstanding work this team delivers every day. Walking the floor, joining a diagonal slice conversation and recognizing teams together on the line was a powerful reminder that our people and our plants are our competitive advantage. To our team, thank you for making Romulus a truly special place to work — supporting your families, lifting up your communities and setting the standard for what great manufacturing looks like. Thank you for earning this level of trust and for the pride, heart and hustle you bring to work every single day.

Our Cadillac Formula 1® Team completed their first race last month, just 366 days after joining Formula 1. To every team member, thank you – you've invested so much, and we've come so far, so fast. This season is the first chapter in a long story. We're on the grid, we're improving, and we're not done. Now, on to Miami, our first race in America! The final episode of our What Makes Fast YouTube series (recent Webby Award winner!) captures what this journey looked like from the inside. I especially enjoy how it highlights so many of the people who worked so hard to make it all happen: https://lnkd.in/gfvUz7fm

Earlier today General Motors reported first quarter earnings. Once again we delivered strong financial performance, driven by our strategic product portfolio and disciplined execution by our teams, dealers, and suppliers. What's driving our performance? There are 3 clear takeaways: Our portfolio, our tech and our team.

When you operate massive assembly plants, high-tech design centers, and big corporate offices like we do at General Motors, how you power them has a real impact — on our bottom line and on the communities where we live and work. That’s why I’m so excited that in 2025 we achieved a major milestone: we secured enough #renewableenergy to match 100% of our electricity use across all our U.S. facilities, making GM the first U.S. automaker to reach this goal. As we also ensure a 1:1 match for all electricity used by our U.S. operations, we prioritize projects on the same regional grid as our facilities. Globally, we matched 70% of our electricity use with renewables. We’ve been working toward this for a decade, and I’m especially proud that GM is now the first automaker to achieve this 100% renewable energy milestone in our home market. What we’ve learned along the way is that the renewable energy transition is about doing well for our business and doing good for our communities. Renewable energy has helped provide price stability, support a more dependable grid, and reduce reliance on foreign energy imports — all while generating nearly $2 billion in economic impact since 2015 and helping us reduce our operational emissions by 52% since 2018. And, it’s the right thing to do. Big thank you to Rob Threlkeld, Taylor Searcy, Monica Walker, Daniel Jarratt, and all the GM people who helped make this happen.
