We want to extend a special thank you to Brandon Farmer, President and CEO of the Alabama Nursing Home Association, for speaking at our Southeast Market award ceremony earlier this month. Brandon recognized the incredible accomplishments of our Alabama centers, noting “the fact that Genesis here in Alabama has the percentage of five star buildings that they do on that bell curve rationale is just incredible.” He also spoke to the broader impact quality ratings have on access to care, emphasizing how they influence preferred provider relationships, Medicare Advantage participation, and the ability for residents to receive the care they need and deserve. We’re grateful for the support and partnership of leaders like Brandon and the Alabama Nursing Home Association as we continue working to strengthen access, advance quality care, and create better outcomes for the communities we serve. ❤️

Join us in celebrating some of our centers that were recognized for outstanding Google reviews in 2026! 👏 Our reviews share insight into the real experiences of our residents and their families, and we’re proud those voices reflected so strongly. These recognitions aren’t just about ratings, they represent trust, meaningful connections, and the impact our caregivers make in the moments that matter most. Thank you to our incredible teams for setting the standard, and to the residents and families who continue to share their experiences with us. ❤️ BusinessRate #GenesisHealthCare #ItStartsWithMe

It is our absolute honor to recognize Basir Shah, Scheduling Manager at Canyon Transitional Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque, NM, as our 2025 Heart of Distinction $10,000 Award winner! 🏅❤️ This award represents the best of the best. Leading With Heart reflects our commitment to compassion for not only our patients, residents and families, but also for one another as colleagues. As the Heart of Distinction recipient, Basir was ultimately selected from more than 3,000 weekly award winners across the organization in 2025. Described as a true unicorn team member, Basir has dedicated over 1️⃣4️⃣ years with Canyon Transitional. Nominated under the Two Hearts Beat as One: Teamwork pillar, he is known for stepping in wherever he is needed and consistently supporting both his team and residents. ✨🦄 “If we’re short anywhere, he steps in, CNA, Med Tech, whatever is needed,” shared Administrator Erin McKee. “He helps in every way without ever making it feel like a burden.” No matter how busy the day gets, Basir always makes time for residents. In the spirit of AHCA/NCAL’s NSNCW theme, “Moments in Bloom,” his everyday acts of kindness, genuine connection, and unwavering support help create meaningful moments that grow into trust, comfort, and community. 🌼 That same commitment carries through in how he supports his team, helping ensure the consistency and coverage that quality care depends on. By stepping in wherever he is needed, Basir helps create the supportive environment where both residents and coworkers can continue to thrive and bloom together. Kristen Morris, Chief Clinical Officer, shares how Basir’s work makes a difference, “Clinical excellence depends on consistency, coverage, and compassion. When someone understands the schedule and can also step into care delivery, it creates stability for residents and confidence for the team. That is what Leading With Heart looks like, and I am thrilled to see Basir recognized with this award.” Basir’s impact continues to bloom far beyond any one role, shaping both the care experience and the culture around him every single day. Through the moments he creates and the people he supports, he reflects what Leading With Heart is all about. ❤️ #MomentsInBloom #LeadingWithHeart #NSNCW #NationalSkilledNursingCareWeek

Our Leading With Heart program is rooted in empathy, connection, and human kindness, recognizing the employees who bring care and compassion to the lives of those they serveeach day. 🌺 As we celebrate National Skilled Nursing Care Week and this year’s “Moments in Bloom” theme, we’re reminded of the everyday moments and interactions that happen across our centers. 🌸 Seeds of compassion are sprinkled throughout each interaction so that residents feel they can flourish. 🌷 Mary, a Leading With Heart Weekly Winner from Wayne Center, is a perfect example of how even the smallest moments can leave a lasting impact on someone else’s experience.🪻 Through simple acts of kindness and connection, moments like these continue to bloom into something meaningful for residents, families, and teams alike. 💐 AHCA/NCAL #LeadingWithHeart #MomentsInBloom #NSNCW #NationalSkilledNursingCareWeek

Now THIS is why we do what we do ❤️ For the patients and residents we care for, it is all about living on their own terms and supporting their quality of life. At Larkin Chase Center in Bowie, MD, two months of hard work and progress led one resident to reach his goal and return home, surrounded by the team who made it possible!🏡 Stories like these happen every day in our centers, but National Skilled Nursing Care Week reminds us to celebrate these moments and the teams who make it possible. Happy National Skilled Nursing Care Week! This year’s theme from AHCA/NCAL, “Moments in Bloom,” captures something special about life inside skilled nursing facilities. The meaningful moments that shape someone’s day are often created through simple acts of care and connection. Over time, those interactions grow into a sense of comfort, trust, and community for the residents and patients we serve. During visits to our centers this spring, I’ve seen those moments firsthand: residents sharing stories with staff, teams celebrating progress together, activities bringing people together, and employees finding ways to make ordinary days feel special. Those experiences may not always make headlines, but they are at the heart of what skilled nursing care is all about. What makes our centers special is not just the services we provide, but the environment each of you helps create each day. Through your compassion and dedication, and the way you continue to lead with heart, you create heartfelt experiences where our patients and residents feel supported, respected, and valued. To our center teams, and to all those across the skilled nursing industry, thank you for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to the lives of residents, patients, families, and one another every day. With appreciation, Lauren Murray-O'Donnell, LNHA Chief Operating Officer

A message from Kristen Morris, Chief Clinical Officer, in recognition of Nurses Week ❤️ “As we celebrate Nurses Week, I want to take a moment to recognize and thank our nurses for the care they provide every day across our centers. Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time in many of our centers, and what stands out most is the consistency of their commitment. Our nurses show up for patients and residents, families, and one another in ways that truly define who we are and what it means to lead with heart. What sets our teams apart is not just the care they deliver, but how they deliver it. Our nurses bring clinical expertise, critical thinking, and compassion into every interaction, creating moments of comfort, dignity, and connection while supporting strong outcomes for those we serve. This work is demanding and often requires navigating complex challenges, but the resilience and dedication our nurses demonstrate each day make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and residents across our centers. To all of our nurses: Thank you for the compassion, expertise, and heart you bring to those we serve every day.” With gratitude, Kristen Morris, Chief Clinical Officer #NursesWeek #NationalNursesWeek
