Your #1 candidate just rejected your offer… Almost every hiring manager has been there. Here are two impactful methods to avoid this: First - send a short private memo called “Why we chose you”. Essentially, a short doc or Loom explaining: > what stood out > where they beat other candidates > what strengths you’re betting on People rarely hear this clearly → very persuasive. Second: map mutual connections. If someone they trust (ex-manager, ex-colleague, mutual connection) - can vouch for you or the team, the perceived risk drops instantly. Warm signal always beats your “pitch”.
