Grateful is the word that comes to mind this holiday season. 🎄🍫 Ghirardelli was honored to participate in Christmas with the Currys by packing up gift bags of chocolate with handwritten messages of gratitude for the incredible teachers and staff across Oakland Unified School District elementary schools. These were shared with teachers and staff as they came through each Christmas with the Currys book fair at Elementary Schools across Oakland for the last three weeks of school leading up to the holidays. It was a meaningful way to share a little sweetness while recognizing the dedication and impact educators have on their students and communities every single day. A heartfelt thank you to the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation for again welcoming us into this special tradition and for the work you do to uplift and celebrate Oakland kids, families, and communities. A Sweet Day of Giving Back in San Leandro! 🍫 Today, we pressed pause on production and came together as one Ghirardelli team, including team members from our plant and corporate offices, to roll up our sleeves and make a difference in the community! In partnership with the City of San Leandro Parks Department and the Beautify San Leandro initiative, our employees headed out to the San Leandro Marina to help clean up and care for a place we all love. We also learned from the Parks Department that Marina Park has already had 1 million visitors this year! It was incredible to see team members from every corner of our plant and corporate offices working side by side to protect our local environment and community spaces. 🌿 After a morning of teamwork and fresh air, we wrapped up the day with an employee appreciation barbecue, celebrating the people who make Ghirardelli shine both inside and outside the factory.
