Habitat for Humanity is thrilled to introduce the Global Housing Continuum: A global tool for local action. The continuum is a practical framework designed to help policymakers, practitioners, advocates, funders, and communities better understand the full spectrum of housing conditions — from homelessness and transitional shelter to incremental, social, and market‑enabled housing solutions. At its core, the Global Housing Continuum creates a shared global language for housing. By helping align policy, financing and action across sectors, it offers a clearer way to analyze how housing systems actually function — and how they can work better for people. The framework is designed not only to describe housing realities, but to support action. Continuum-based thinking can help governments and partners: 🏘️ Design more effective housing and urban policies 💰 Target financing and subsidies more efficiently 🌍 Expand access to adequate, affordable housing at scale 🤝 Strengthen coordination and evidence-based decision-making across sectors Let’s #OpenTheDoor to a shared understanding of housing systems — and to smarter, more coordinated solutions that can expand access to adequate housing worldwide. Learn more about the Global Housing Continuum at habitat.org/continuum.

About us
Habitat for Humanity is a movement of people in your local area and around the world, working together to build more prosperous and vibrant communities by making sure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. Since our founding in 1976 as a Christian organization, together we have helped more than 62 million people in countries around the world build their futures on their own terms through access to decent housing. We’ve done that by working alongside people of all walks of life to build, repair and finance their homes, by innovating new ways of building and financing, and by advocating for policies that make constructing and accessing housing easier for everyone. Together, we build homes, communities and hope. To learn more, visit habitat.org.

Happy #MothersDay from Habitat! For Ozzie, his safe, affordable Habitat home will #openthedoor to more time with his mother. His mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer when he was 14, but now she is in remission and helped build his future home last week at the #CarterWorkProject.

“We learn about service, we learn about love, and we talk about it. But Habitat lets us put it all into practice.” As was typical, President Carter put it into words best. The service and love at the 2026 #CarterWorkProject has already transformed the build site in Atlanta, and we aren't even halfway through the week!

This week at the #CarterWorkProject, nearly 150 volunteers from Atlanta-based The Home Depot are working alongside families building stability and opportunity at Langston Park. Building on support that dates back to 2008, The Home Depot Foundation is serving as the diamond sponsor of this year's event. In total, they have donated more than $66 million to support our work, including funding our Repair Corps program for the past 15 years, which has helped more than 2,300 U.S. military veterans and their families make critical repairs to their homes. Learn how Heather Prill, director of Team Depot and strategic partnerships for The Home Depot Foundation, is volunteering alongside her 77-year-old father Paul this week, just like they did 25 years ago at the 2000 Carter Work Project in Americus, Georgia. https://lnkd.in/gFB6bH2G
