Our second quarter performance demonstrates that our transformation and operational initiatives are delivering tangible results. #HertzLetsGo

Our second quarter results reflect the progress we're making as we continue transforming Hertz. We increased revenue 10% year over year despite operating with a smaller fleet, driven by our strongest second-quarter RPD on record, excluding the extraordinary market conditions of 2022.    As we look ahead, we're continuing to strengthen our core rental business while building new growth opportunities across four strategic areas: Rent-a-Car, Service, Fleet and Mobility. By applying our commercial, operational and fleet management expertise across these areas, we're driving greater efficiency, creating new engines for growth and positioning Hertz for long-term success.    Most importantly, this progress is a testament to our team. Their focus, discipline and execution continue to turn strategy into results, and I'm grateful for their hard work every day. #HertzLetsGo https://lnkd.in/e_Z_9zYa

100 years ago, Hertz figured out how to own, operate, and move large fleets of vehicles safely and efficiently. Turns out that skill is exactly what the next era of mobility needs.   Robotaxis will need someone to charge, clean, maintain, and deploy them, every day, at scale. That’s been our business all along, and it’s why we’re so excited about where Oro Mobility is headed.   The technology is new. The fundamentals aren’t. That’s our advantage.   Thanks to Joann Muller and Axios for the conversation. https://lnkd.in/eAgyHJF2   #Mobility #AutonomousVehicles #HertzLetsGo

108 years. That's how long Hertz has been in business. Nearly half of America's 250. In 1918, a guy named Walter Jacobs started renting out a dozen Model Ts in Chicago. He wasn't trying to build a legacy. He was solving a problem: people wanted to drive without owning. That simple idea helped create an entire industry. We've held onto it through a lot. Downturns, a pandemic, and more reinventions than I can count. Every time we came back focused on the same thing: helping people get where they need to go.   Today, that's just as true. Whether it's a family heading out on a Fourth of July road trip, a traveler exploring a new destination, or a rideshare driver earning a living behind the wheel, millions of customers continue to rely on Hertz to keep them moving. Along the way, we've kept finding the next thing first. The first car rental counter at an airport in 1932. The first one-way rental in 1933. GPS in our cars before most people had it in their pocket. Now it's Oro Mobility as we look ahead to the next era of mobility. It's the same instinct that started this company in 1918: understand where people need to go next, and build the infrastructure to help them get there. One hundred and eight years in, that job hasn't changed. Happy 250, America. We're proud to have been part of the journey.

For more than 100 years, Hertz has been helping customers take to the road, a legacy we're proud to continue today. As millions of Americans travel this Fourth of July and begin celebrations marking America's 250th anniversary, new Hertz data shows the road trip is making a comeback.   In fact, 64% of Americans plan to take a road trip this summer, and fuel efficiency is top of mind as they do with demand for hybrid vehicles surging 140% year over year.    While travel trends tell part of the story, it’s our people who make those journeys possible.     This holiday weekend, we’re especially grateful to the thousands of Hertz employees working across our operations to help get customers where they need to go. From our airport and neighborhood locations to our maintenance and customer care teams, thank you for keeping travelers moving during one of the busiest periods of the year. #HertzLetsGo https://lnkd.in/eFJYR3XG

Great to reconnect with Grayson Brulte on The Road to Autonomy® podcast to discuss how we’re positioning Hertz to play a central role in the transition to autonomous mobility.    Our view is straightforward: Hertz’s century of skills in fleet management, operational infrastructure, and logistics at scale become essential in a scaled AV ecosystem.     That’s the premise behind Oro Mobility. Oro is the missing operational layer in autonomous deployment, connecting vehicles, technology, and demand players at scale. We’re putting Hertz’s core capabilities to work in new ways and delivering turnkey, integrated fleet solutions, across both driver-led and autonomous models.    Appreciate the conversation and the opportunity to share more about the road ahead. #HertzLetsGo

Hertz has Big Plans as the Autonomy Economy Grows Gil West, CEO of Hertz, joined Grayson Brulte on The Road to Autonomy where he explained why asset ownership, not just operations, is the right strategy for scaling robotaxis. Today, Hertz operates in 160 countries, complete with over 11,000 service locations, 2,700 EV chargers, and a century of fleet operating capabilities. The ingredients to scale robotaxis are there and Hertz has a running start as the infrastructure is already in place. Navigating the operational complexity of moving more than half a million vehicles from return through cleaning, maintenance, fueling, and readiness for the next customer is critical to our business. Our work with Palantir Technologies is transforming the turnaround process, accelerating how quickly vehicles move from return to ready for their next rental. Every reservation, vehicle movement, maintenance event, customer interaction, and operational decision generates a data point. Daytona orchestrates this data into thousands of actions each day, embedding AI directly into daily workflows, empowering 15,000 frontline employees with the insights they need to make the right decision at the right moment, and deliver a more seamless and reliable customer experience.

At AIPCon 10, Hertz reveals how Palantir AIP powers Daytona — a control tower orchestrating fleet operations across half a million vehicles in real time. See how collaborating agents traverse the Ontology at VIN-level granularity to triage safety events, plan maintenance, optimize transportation, and assign vehicles to customers — turning 4 million monthly operational touchpoints into connected, cross-functional decisions that optimize the entire system, not just individual departments.
