In our recent interview, Margaux Petersen gave excellent advice for those wanting to move into the developer/ owner space. Margaux’s background is impressive. With a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and Master’s in Engineering Management, she started her career interning on the GC/CM side, then gained experience early in her career with a design build and owner’s representative firm. This path led her to her current role on the Developer’s side with Taconic Partners, in her newly promoted role of Assistant Vice President of Development. She also talked about the importance of developing communication skills and financial understanding, and how important networking is.
