Founded in 1965, the nonprofit Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) is one of the oldest and largest membership associations for industrial design professionals. IDSA has thousands of members in dozens of Professional Chapters, Student Chapters, and Special Interest Sections in the United States and internationally. Since 1980, IDSA has produced the annual International Design Excellence Awards® (IDEA), which remains the world’s most rigorous, prestigious, and influential design awards program. The Society leads National Industrial Design Day initiatives annually on March 5 and hosts annual events such as the International Design Conference and Deep Dives, bringing together some of the biggest names and brightest minds in industrial design and related fields.
