Pacific Gas and Electric Company is preparing a 10-year plan to underground 5,000 miles of power lines and harden 4,000 miles of overhead infrastructure by 2037 to reduce wildfire risk to utility infrastructure. The initiative, estimated at $1 billion annually, would improve the resilience of nearly 11,000 miles of the grid and cover more than 75 percent of PG&E’s highest fire-risk areas. https://lnkd.in/gJavbE3S

Insignia’s Anne Marie McGraw and Holly Jossart attended the American Clean Power Association (ACP) Siting and Permitting Conference in Aurora, Colorado this past week. With over 1,700 attendees, the event offered strong networking opportunities with developers and consultants focused on routing, siting, and permitting. They had a great time connecting with industry partners and gaining valuable insights.
