In claims processing, a poorly timed pop-up breaks focus and introduces error. ⚠️ The right design surfaces missing data before submission, uses flags instead of friction, and makes the right action the easiest one. Design choices matter, and Episode 107 of The Astonishing Healthcare Podcast with Adam Murphy and Michelle Chambers gets into why. 🎙️ Listen now: https://lnkd.in/g855tEuF

Most PBM evaluations focus on discounts, rebates, and admin fees.💰 That's about 30% of what actually drives pharmacy costs. Kristin Begley, PharmD, and Mike Miele, FSA, MAAA, broke down what drives the rest, and how to contract around it. ▶️ Watch the webinar replay here: https://okt.to/A6NtUW

Amazon Pharmacy is now offering same-day oral GLP-1 delivery and kiosk pickup at One Medical locations. 💊 Chief Clinical Officer Sara Izadi, PharmD, weighed in, speaking with Brian Nowosielski for Drug Topics about what expanded access really requires to work. Employers have always deserved to see where their pharmacy dollars are being spent. That belief has driven everything we've built here at Judi Health since day one, and it's true for medical benefits, too. It's why moments like this matter so much and why there's so much more work to be done. A. J. Loiacono
I’m genuinely pleased to see legacy PBMs are giving up, including Optum Rx, shifting their stance to align with the model we pioneered at Judi Health (Capital Rx). Optum’s recent announcement that it will move to enable 100% of rebate dollars to pass through to customers is a significant signal that the old model is dying… or should have died years ago. However, for those following the industry closely, this may feel like a bit of déjà vu. In 2024, Dr. Conway shared with the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability that: “The majority of our clients have 100 percent pass through of rebates.” If the majority of Optum’s clients were already on a pass-through model, there isn’t too much for their clients to be excited about or they need to understand the “new math” of how “100%” is better than “100%.” Either way, it is clear the market’s pressure for true transparency has finally reached a tipping point. At Judi Health, we believe that transparency shouldn't be a marketing pivot, tactical sound bite, or an elusive promise. It should be the foundation of a healthcare company’s principles and technology. We’re flattered to see the giants of the industry adopting the standards we’ve spent years building. Welcome to the movement. https://lnkd.in/eTvnDweY

According to the American Heart Association, women shoulder an estimated 80% of their family’s medical decisions. From scheduling appointments and managing prescriptions to navigating insurance and showing up when it matters most, they should have benefits that work for them. Today, we celebrate every mom and caregiver and recommit to advocating for the care they deserve. Happy Mother’s Day from the Judi Health team! 🌷

The timing of The Johns Hopkins University's Medicare Advantage: Rethinking Payer-Provider Relationships to Advance Health symposium couldn't have been better. We're thankful to Daniel Polsky, Kali S. Thomas, and the rest of the team at JHU for hosting an amazing event and inviting Sunil Budhrani MD MPH MBA to participate in a lightning round to share and debate an idea - a way to solve a problem (several, actually): a shared claims operating platform for Medicare Advantage plans and providers. 🤝 If we stop treating claims as disputes after the fact and start treating them as a "shared workflow" - managed on a single, unified platform - before they become problematic, wouldn't that help advance healthcare and change incentives? We think so. 😉 An evolved model could: - Reward clean claims - Drive faster documentation and turnaround times - Minimize denials and appeals - Improve the overall member and provider experience We're grateful to be a part of the conversation!
