Today we announced the appointment of Stephen (Steve) McAnena as Kemper’s President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1. Steve will also join Kemper’s Board of Directors. We also announced the appointment of Tony DeSantis to our Board of Directors, bringing additional insurance industry and operating experience to the Board. We look forward to welcoming both leaders to Kemper as we continue focusing on strengthening execution, enhancing operational performance, and positioning the company for long-term success. A group of students, including former interns and Kemper Scholars Students from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley recently visited Kemper’s Chicago office for a day of learning and connection. Through an office tour and employee panel, they gained insight into the insurance industry, career pathways and life after graduation. Together with The Kemper Foundation, we continue to support students through scholarships, academic grants, and hands-on experiences that help prepare them for the future.
