Always proud to share how Ketjen Corporation catalyst solutions help make SAF production a reality, such as today at #EUBCE26 For me, the most encouraging takeaways from the high-level SAF roundtable were the statements that were not made (anymore) about scaling SAF-production. • While there was plenty of discussion on ReFuelEU SAF mandates (and how they can be improved), none of the attendees claimed that their overall level is unrealistic or too ambitious. • Feedstock supply doesn’t need to be a problem. Plenty of alternative feedstocks can be made available to supplement the currently used HEFA-feedstocks with the right incentives and demand guarantees in place. #Ketjen #SAF #biofuels

40 years. One company. A career spent entirely in operations, with a parallel commitment to keeping the site safe. 🎉 This month, we celebrate Simon Bok, HPC Shift Supervisor in Amsterdam, marking his 40th anniversary with Ketjen and its predecessor companies. Simon started on the plant floor as an operator. After product allergies pushed him to a different unit, he quickly became an all-round operator, then a Lead Operator, then a Shift Supervisor, then a Team Leader when two units merged. For nearly 13 years now, he has been a Shift Supervisor in HPC. Through all of it, he has been a constant presence on the site’s emergency response and fire brigade teams, including helping spec a new response vehicle and the equipment that went with it. His advice to new hires? Be curious. Keep an eye out for projects that come your way, and look for opportunities to get involved. Don’t sit back and wait. His most memorable moment? Early in his career, a suggestion he dropped into the suggestion box was actually implemented. The reward: coffee and stroopwafel cake, served personally by the Site Manager. Forty years later, he still remembers it. ☕ And if he could spend one day somewhere else at the company? R&D - examining Ketjen’s products under the electron microscope. 🔬 Congratulations, Simon. A career that started at the QC bench and grew into leading Ketjen's CFT Testing group in Amsterdam. 🎉 This month, we celebrate Ronald Sijm, Senior Supervisor of CFT Testing, marking his 40th anniversary with Ketjen and its predecessor companies. Ronald's journey is a masterclass in patience and curiosity. From QC analyst to R&D to process development to plant support to application engineering - each move driven not by urgency, but by a genuine hunger for the next challenge. Along the way he was part of introducing KF-757 and KF-848, spent years testing HPC catalysts across applications from ULSD to E-bed Resid, and now leads a testing team he describes as "great and devoted." His advice to new hires? Don't rush. Stay in a role for at least five years. Get completely familiar before you move on. And if he could spend one day in any role at the company? Working the canteen counter - on his feet all day, hands busy, meeting everyone on site. After 40 years behind a desk, that sounds like a perfect day. 😄 Congratulations, Ronald.
