38 years at one company is rare, but what’s even rarer is maintaining the same level of passion on day 13,870 as you had on day one. We are so proud to celebrate Vonya and her well-deserved Chairman’s Award. Her story—from her "washing machine" goal in 1987 to her incredible community work today—is one you have to read!
Vonya joined Land O’Frost in 1987 with a simple goal: earning enough to buy a washing machine. 38 years later, she remains the backbone of our R&D team in Searcy. And, her impact doesn't stop at our plant. For 10 years, she has led a local food bank, feeding 85 families a month. That is "One Team" and "Excellence" defined, and exactly why we honored her last night with the Chairman’s Award-- a recognition set aside to celebrate the team members who embody our founder's and the company's values. Whether she is protecting our quality standards or serving her community, Vonya truly makes every day more fulfilling than the last. Help me give Vonya a digital "Congratulations." Thank you, Matthew Jelinek and Kimara Wright, for representing us at the Breakthrough T1D Summit last week. This is a cause close to our hearts, and we are committed to supporting the research and advocacy needed to turn #Type1Diabetes into Type None. Seeing the innovation and resilience on display at the summit inspires us to keep pushing for a healthier future!
Being part of the inaugural Breakthrough T1D Corporate Partner Summit was a strong reminder of why Land O'Frost's national partnership matters so much to me. While sharing my story on a panel was powerful, the real value was in the personal conversations. I had the chance to connect with fellow corporate partners who are also T1D warriors and talk about the shared grit it takes to manage this 24/7 condition while pushing our businesses forward. For me, being hands-on with this partnership is about driving real, tangible progress for the community I know well. To those I met this week, thank you for the transparency and shared stories.
