Lifepoint partnered with PepsiCo for a “Hydrate to Donate” campaign to raise money for the Lifecare Fund, which provides short-term, emergency support to Lifepoint Health employees or eligible dependents. Throughout the two-month campaign, Pepsi committed to donate $1 from each purchase of eligible Pepsi products across all of our acute facilities. The campaign was incredibly successful, contributing nearly $62,000 to the fund and significantly exceeded the initial projected total. Leaders from PepsiCo presented the Lifepoint executive team with a “huge” (literally) check to commemorate this achievement. Thank you to PepsiCo for supporting our employees in such a meaningful way!

The Lifepoint Health Support Center recently hosted Wags & Walks, a Nashville-based nonprofit committed to reducing euthanasia in local shelters, to raise awareness about rescue dogs and provide a little pet therapy break for employees! Thank you to all our team members who took the time to meet some adorable, adoptable dogs in need of their forever homes, and thank you to those who submitted adoption applications or donated to this exceptional organization.

Earlier this week, Lifepoint and Centra Health were joined by community leaders for a celebratory ribbon cutting to mark the completion of the Centra Behavioral Health Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia, which is set to open this summer. With 72 beds and more than 60,000 square feet, this new hospital is purposefully designed to serve patients with a broad range of psychiatric needs. This special observance honors the many generations of AANHPI people who have helped to enrich our nation’s culture. At Lifepoint, we recognize and honor our exceptionally skilled, dedicated and compassionate AANHPI team members who help us to advance our mission of making communities healthier every day.

Lifepoint recently sponsored a Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee mobile pantry at the Church at Harpeth Heights. This mobile pantry distributed more than 20,000 pounds of food to approximately 250 families in the area. Thank you to our amazing Lifepoint volunteers for lending their time and efforts to support this important cause.

Lifepoint and CHI Memorial, a member of CommonSpirit Health, broke ground on a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital located in Ooltewah, TN. The hospital will be specially designed to create a therapeutic environment for patients and will be equipped with leading-edge amenities and adaptive units. It will significantly expand access to vitally needed rehabilitation services in the tri-state region and is expected to open to patients next spring. Nicoletta “Nicki” Tessler, Psy.D., M.B.A., president, Lifepoint Behavioral Health, was honored with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriotic Employer Award. Presented on behalf of the Secretary of Defense, this award recognizes leaders who demonstrate exceptional support for members of the National Guard and Reserve. It celebrates leaders who show flexibility, understanding and genuine respect for our military personnel. As president of Lifepoint Behavioral Health, Nicki leads a large and complex healthcare division, while consistently demonstrating a personal commitment to supporting those who serve our country. She understands military obligations, training schedules and service requirements, and she approaches military leave not as an operational inconvenience, but as an honorable responsibility that reflects the character of the individual serving. Under her leadership, service members are respected and honored for their selfless sacrifice. Congratulations on this recognition, Nicki, and thank you for your exceptional leadership!
