Mad Mobile is hiring. We build technology at the intersection of software, payments, restaurants, and real-world operations. The work is practical, fast-moving, and tied to problems operators deal with every day. We’re looking for curious people who like smart teams, real business challenges, and technology that has to work at the counter, on the floor, and in the middle of a rush. Less buzzword bingo. More building, solving, and shipping useful systems. Take a look at our open roles here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-qSNG9a Questions? Renee Pauley is the person to know. DM her or reach out at renee.pauley@madmobile.com #Hiring #RestaurantTech

Welcome to Mad Mobile, Alicia Thornton. Alicia joins us as Director of Account Management, leading the team that stays closest to our customers after they choose Mad Mobile. The sale may start the relationship. Account management is where the partnership becomes real. Alicia has spent her career in the middle of that work: building trust, improving the customer experience, and helping teams turn messy, complicated needs into something that actually works. We’re glad she’s here, and we know our customers will be, too. #MadMobile #CustomerSuccess #AccountManagement #Leadership

  • Most 4-year-olds are tearing through the house, learning the world one snack, toy, and cartoon at a time. Not Matt Crumley. Matt got a TI-99 for his birthday, and something clicked. He didn’t just want to play games. He wanted to understand them, change them, and eventually build his own. That curiosity became a career. Before Mad Mobile, Matt built software for military simulators, published an iOS game, and showed early signs of the rare mix we value here: engineering discipline and creative instinct. Today, he’s a Principal Software Architect here at Mad Mobile, leading work across DevOps, infrastructure, POS updates, hardware integrations, and the systems that keep our operators moving. The stuff customers may never see, but absolutely feel when it matters most. When Matt isn’t making the hard stuff work, he’s usually somewhere out west, chasing desert landscapes and national parks with his wife and teenage son. Matt Crumley is our Employee of the Month, and exactly the kind of builder you want behind the product. Formal group photo in the comments. #MadMobile #EmployeeOfTheMonth #BuiltNotBought

  • Yesterday, our product team led another hands-on product demo. This time, it was Kiosk. And not just for product or support. Teams across Mad Mobile, from Marketing to Accounting to HR, learned how to set it up, install the payment reader, and understand how it works. Most companies keep product knowledge siloed. We don’t, because customer support gets better when more of the company understands the product and the technology behind it. It’s one of the reasons our customers get the kind of support they do. Service is everyone’s job at Mad Mobile.

  • The modern-day Breakfast Club. It started about six months ago at 6:45am with coffee. A daily pulse check on our customers, with a few operational issues tackled at the same time. Then, somewhere between “I’m running five minutes late” and “the jambalaya’s not quite warm enough,” it turned into dumplings, bao buns, smoked salmon on English muffins… and yes, bagels. What started old school quietly took on a life of its own. Laptops open. Bellies full. Minds sharp-ish. No detention required. This is how we stay close to the operators who trust us with their business.

  • Kyle Budd is our Employee of the Month. He’s been part of the engineering effort behind several recent migrations — the kind of work that only earns attention when something fails. It didn’t. The work was steady, thoughtful, and built to hold. Outside of work, Kyle operates on a different frequency. He plays shows with his band Chasing Airplanes, spends weekends courtside at his son’s basketball games, and navigates the unpredictable Gulf waters around Tampa Bay with his family. Turns out precision travels well.  Nice work, Kyle. #MadProps #MadMobile #Engineering

Sometimes you need to get out of the office and step away from what you’re building long enough to see what someone else is building. This morning, we attended 1 Million Cups at the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center in Tampa — one of the country’s largest publicly supported tech incubators, right here in Hillsborough County. We heard from two founders with very different approaches. Both early. Both ambitious. Funny, but what stood out most wasn’t the pitch decks. It was the questions. Does this scale? Who pays — and how much? What problem are you really solving? At 1 Million Cups, the first question posed to every speaker is simple: “How can the community help you?” Tampa has no shortage of tech spaces. The ecosystem here runs deeper than most people realize. If you’re building in this market, you’re not building alone. Appreciate the work from Smart Edge Technologies and Heirloom and Harvest. Thank you to 1 Million Cups and Hillsborough County's Entrepreneur Collaborative Center for hosting.

  • We got tired of the old way of doing IT support. So we built something better. This is what practical AI looks like. It’s a touch screen. It’s on wheels, and it’s always on. You walk up, start talking, and it understands you. It handles real work in real time, resolves issues immediately, and keeps things moving without tickets disappearing into a queue. When something needs escalation, the context is already captured. The handoff is clean. The system knows where it belongs and what’s already been said. No name yet. It’s internal for now. But it’s real, it’s working, and it’s already changing how our teams get support.

  • We’ve been talking a lot about AI lately. Faster. Smarter. More automated. In this piece, our CTO, Jack Kennedy, takes a different approach. He reflects on what the last few decades of digital transformation actually delivered, why so many teams feel worn down by it, and why AI might finally change the direction of work instead of adding yet another layer to manage. It’s calm, practical, and grounded in real system-building experience. Worth a read if you’ve ever felt like modern software became more complicated instead of more helpful. 👉 https://lnkd.in/eA2xUyuz
